I think people are making it a little too political and social in this thread. As I see it you made a couple of decisions you'd probably would have changed in hindsight. Regardless of gender, it just seems kind of weird to collect right at the end even though you know its probably the first and last time this date is going to happen. I would think of it as an investment, and you made a bad one. I would have cut my losses and just move on.

There's so many facts missing from this; I quickly glanced over the piece but I didn't read any other statistics. How many dudes are actually paying child support.
