That’s a sad way to think of the world. And definitely not true.

My guess is a mix of two phenomena: Certain men only wanting do do the work they think is ‘manly’ (less frequent tasks like mowing the lawn/car maintenance, vs everyday work requiring more total time like laundry/cooking/cleaning/childcare they perceive as feminine) People tend to overestimate their contributions in a relationship (so they actually think they’re doing more than they are)

This is depressingly helpful, thank you. So many ways to not see women as nuanced/complex human beings…

I honestly thought they didn’t need feminism until I got older, finished school, and left a bubble… and realized there are actually a lot of white men who: don’t believe women get assaulted, unfairly discredit women professionally, don’t take equal household/childcare responsibilities with 2 working parents, and plenty more examples. Likely from influences of recent generations that were much more mysogynist- that stuff takes more than a generation to fully change.

Neither of those things necessarily undermine feminism… What if a man gives head or blows out his back?

Ah ok… new-ish to the distinction. My understanding was that an ‘extreme’ of redpill ideology was incel (since the poster comparing to extreme feminism)

Well… incels have gone on actual killing sprees. And generally men kill / assault women much more often. I’d venture to say feminism is tame in comparison

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
