"That's a good idea honey, men are better at cooking after all." - a wise man that never cooked a day in his life. These types of people are always looking for a reason to be mad, nothing wrong with turning it into something productive.

His name is Travis Brown, and he fights in the heavy weight division. This is the two of them. No, ordinarily you'd be right, but MMA is different and the way fighters communicate with each other is different. As you can see by the size difference, she isn't beating up on a defenseless man, and further, they spar with each other often. They've been happily married since 2017, with no charges, civil suits, or pattern of abuse in sight. You're highlighting two extraordinary people in rare situatio…

I think the nature of the relationship between two MMA fighters is probably a little different than your framing it up to be. Contextually, the both of them spend most of every year in the gym also getting beat up. I dunno, if it were me, I'd rather take a beating from Rhonda than a lot of the potential alternative negative outcomes. Imagine if she just aired that shit out on TV instead. He'd lose his contacts with the UFC and everything.

Bud, there isn't a black activist out there that won't tell you the black man must stand on his own, from Malcolm X to Larry Elder. I think the last administration proved what a modern conservative can do for the average person, and this current administration is quite the contrast to that experience.

Then you should understand that you're close minded by making that connection on your own. You don't seem to understand what all the conservatives in the room do; crime is linked to poverty and it's hugely offensive for liberals like Hillary or Biden to spend decades crafting the welfare incentive system that enslaved the black man in the chains of generational poverty, cyclical crime and single parenthood to then come out to say "oh they're just born animals". Liberal ideology today exists to p…

Oh for sure, I'm not arguing that you can't have a higher quality life childless than you can with children. It's merely that research shows that the biological incentive to survive for the protection and rearing of children runs very deeply, evolutionarily speaking, and so does the incentive to breed. You are more likely to live a shorter life without children, simply because you can't control the nature of your inherent biology. Your body will take you out of the survival competition if you ar…

Biologically, in the wild we rarely make it past a certain age, but menopause basically seals the deal with the rapid depletion of bone density, and as you mentioned, attractiveness also plays a big part. Beyond that, without medical aid, childbirth has a pretty chilling fatality rate, cutting down further those that would otherwise live to longer ages. This effect is basically rendered inert with modern technology. Further, this effect happens in general among both parents; couples with (grand)…

Human love changes chemically throughout a relationship. The lust phase was never intended to last because it gives way to a nurture phase evolved for child rearing. This happens about 4 to 7 years in, but can happen even earlier. Sad fact is, women are genetically engineered to have a few kids and then die after raising them in order to reduce competition with their young. We can escape our environment, but we can't escape our biology.

Certainly not, but it could also be said that gender isn't a deciding factor in how laws are made. I was also keen to utilize the word "vicariously"; we have a representative democracy. What can be said, at least by the statistics presented by the university of Texas, is that the majority of voters are women, and that these women voted for representatives that ideologically believe in abortion bans. While women didn't directly vote for an abortion ban, I don't think we can rule out that the inte…

I think you'd do better to point out that it was decided entirely along party lines and that gender really didn't play into it at all one way or the other. That said, the majority of Texas voters are indeed women, by 2%. If but vicariously, women did vote for this. I doubt there was ever a single Texas Republican in that lineup that ever said they'd vote against an abortion ban. I think Texans were aware of the type of representatives they were votin…

An entirely unique human cell is created upon inception, and immediately begins cellular division. That isn't a personal belief, it's a well known and scientifically establish biological process. You're confusing this with the argument for consciousness and sentience, which I am not making. Sentience is not a bar for life. Neither is size, density, weight, or development.

Seems like you're the one raging here bud. You're leaning hard on character attack without ever having once demonstrated a proper reason why a fetus doesn't constitute life. To quote a great man, "If single cell bacteria on the surface of Mars constitutes life..." you have a Hell of a bar to leap over. To prove your point, you must demonstrate why a fetus isn't a living being composed of living cells and you must demonstrate the moral reasoning behind the elimination of a device or being, whiche…

Let's talk about the definition of what constitutes "living" in scientific terms. Even a single human cell technically fits the description of living, it can perform mitosis, it has a multiple cellular organs such as the nuclei, or a mitochondria for processing its own food. No, I believe our right to life and liberty is among our highest laws to be respected. New life is created at the point that a new human cell is created. That new life has a legal right to live. We don't measure the value of life by the number of cells, the level of consciousness, or age. Answer these simple questions: After the sperm meets the egg, what sort of cells are produced? Do those cells meet the scientific definition of living? Are they American human cells? Are they unique from their …

That's how you're looking to frame it up, but I went on to elaborate that I think women have a right to ensure chemically that a zygote doesn't establish itself. That's how some contraceptives work. My problem starts when you wait till the fetus is established enough to warrant surgical abortion. In my mind, the dissection of a living human being can be construed as no less than murder. Though, I'd argue in the positive for government provided contraceptives and birth control. Let Medicare cover…

Eh, only insomuch as the same thought experiment applies to utilitarianism. That whole "should a doctor chop up one healthy person to save five people about to die" is a well worn schtick, to be sure. However, I wasn't arguing the case of frozen embryos, I was arguing the case of established fetuses. The correct comparison would actually be, if I had to choose between saving a five year old or a hundred pregnant women, and in that case, my choice would be obvious, and invalidates your argument e…

The moment the sperm meets the egg, new life, new human life, is created. It is just a start, but new life none the less. Personally, I'm of the mind that women ought have the right to control the chemical environment of their body, and in thus, have quite a wide birth of options available to prevent a pregnancy even after sex, long before a zygote establishes itself. I find surgical abortions barbaric and inhumane, with abortion surgeons capable of each testifying to a fetus' attempts to fight …

I think it's more complicated than that. You are guaranteed the right to life and liberty, and scientifically, new life is created at inception. On the scales of justice you must weigh women's bodily autonomy versus a newly created American's right to live. And then if you cross that threshold and we've determined that legally, a fetus isn't a person but rather, property, I must ask, to what degree is that property co-owned? Why shouldn't men have shared control of property they helped build? If…

Look, I advocate that women should have the same long prison terms men face all the time. It's shameful they don't get to die, forced into armed conflicts against their will or have to sacrifice their lives first in any emergency situation. It's a deep injustice to women, that they're denied proper rehabilitation by the government when they fail to convict them for crimes they have double the conviction rates in men for. Got any idea how many pregnancies you get on a modern navy vessel annually? We spend a startling amount of tax dollars training people whom at any point can take paid leave by propping their ankles up behind their head. In order for a women's draft to be possible logistically, you'd need to mandate forced birth control that remains effective throughout an entire deployment cycle.

If you think testifying to a couple cops in a closed room is humiliating, the court room is going to be far less pleasant. I think you'll have to prove a more direct relationship of the persecution of people known to have made false testimony and how that reduces the likelihood of true cases coming forward. They don't need to break open a lie, it's already open. They just need to get more details from her and perhaps some physical evidence, like a journal.

So you do understand the concept? I mean, it seems like an implicit respect for your partner that should be able to go unsaid. Further, while relationships should be equal, they don't necessarily have to be equitable, and usually aren't. The traditional division of family labor is still just as viable as the modern incarnation, which I should note, harbors far higher rates of divorce.

You're purposefully flying off the handles here. Dudes don't want their girls advertising their bodies like they're still available. How about I construct an argument in which I frame up women as controlling because they don't want their men taking Friday nights at the bar or strip club? Surely under your logic, you'd agree.

The current communist strategy is Lennon's class warfare technique, modified to divide people by race, rather than class. I don't really see how you could separate socialism from some form of structural social division, the ideology necessitates the existence of an oppressor and oppressed class to even get off the ground floor.

The perception of one's own self is inevitably crafted from your perceptions of your own standing in your respective social hierarchy. What you perceive isn't determined by genetics, how and to what limits you can perceive a thing or concept is. Seriously, if you want to debate about this subject, you should actually get into the material. The biology of gender has been settled for a long time now, and there's a good reason this whole new gender debate rose out of the social sciences and not the…

Actually, the correct term to use academically would be dysphoric, and he was indeed dysphoric, but because he was forced into a transition because of a botched circumcision. The only requirement for gender dysphoria is for your psychological gender and biological gender out of sync. And you'd consider this effect to be a medical condition, not a totally different gender. What you need to clarify in order to be right is how "self-view" is biological in nature. You really shot yourself in the foot by claiming it's not possible to measure it, because that puts it firmly outside the realm of biological possibility. I think you're arguing philosophy against biology here, and you're making a lot of mistakes in so doing. I'm arguing that gender is purely a nature thing. You are born with genetics that guide chemical reactions in your body, regardless of your mental or cultural states, you are irrevocably bound to them. The reason the guy killed himself is because gender isn't a learned behavior, it's baked into your genetics. He had no idea he was genetically male until his psychological breaks were too much to endure for his parents, and they relented. Upon discovering his true gender, he immediately reverted t…

Well here we have this child that killed himself as a direct result of the attempt to prove your case, that gender is a learned behavior. That isn't even the only case. Consistently, we see that gender, and even gender norms, are natural patterns in research with our chimp relatives; boys and girls naturally assume play styles that emulate their gender roles in adulthood, completely without cultural encouragement. It's more than just belief, we have seen multiple cases that prove this is the tru…

Self described would fall into the category of learned behavior. That's an expression of your cultural upbringing. In terms of academia, there can only be nature or nurture, genetic or learned. Obviously there's no way to measure "self-view", that term in of itself is a social construct. It has no bearing to biological reality. If you desperately need a blood transfusion, they aren't gonna ask you "what's your self view" to save your life from a mis-transfusion, there exists no way to measure "s…

So let me get this straight; we believe gender is defined by biology, while you seem to believe gender is defined by stereotypes. Are you aware of the inherent sexism and bigotry in stereotyping? Seems counter intuitive to the very medical necessity that substantiated the need for transition therapy in the first place; a very real biological condition in which your brain dysphorically confuses itself to such an extent that it is psychologically damaging. Culture is a learned (nurture) behavior, …

Ah prostitution, the one industry that proves feminism is full of shit. Women ought to have the right to do with their body whatever they want insomuch that it doesn't cause harm to others. The true feminist version would include abortion in that statement, I wouldn't, it's murder. You kinda have to combine studies on your own to get that total picture, since it seems they classify DV by physicality and reciprocality. Large and by, it seems women are nearly just as physical as men in initial DV, and are far more verbally and mentally abusive, but men are far more likely to respond in kind with physical violence and abuse. At least that's what I've gathered from various studies.

You're a sexist piece of shit because you are automatically assuming the issue is directly related to being male. Violence has more to do with being poor than anything else by far. Maybe you should try going into the hood and tell em about their toxic poverty. Maybe they shouldn't live in such toxic neighborhoods or get their education from such toxic schools. I'm not pessimistic, but here's a bunch of reasons to be pessimistic. Joking aside, I have to disagree. There's a lot of reasons to be optimistic, especially with Trump in office and libertarian ideals becoming more and more popular. It's pretty obvious the tide is turning hard on SJW bullshit. This election will just be another nail for the coffin for intersectional theory.

I forget where I saw the statistic, so you'd have to hunt it down, but I'm pretty sure women are as a whole, more likely than men to be abusive and neglectful, even after adjusting for the courtroom tilt. We got a bunch of gaming consoles hooked up our big entertainment system, and about six thousand dollars worth of gaming pc's. The issue with giving hormones during developmental years is a biological one. Your body develops the way it's programmed to with hormones as one of the active ingredients. When you play with that, you not only invite mutation, but also cancer. Even in adults, steroid therapies can invite cancer. This risk is exasperated by the developmental process into adulthood. Not to mention, our emphasis should be on psychological therapy. In cases of limb or body dysphoria, we don't solve the issue by rem…

The equal opportunity hiring act does actually protect you from this kind of discrimination. Employers cannot discriminate based on gender, race, religion, or disability. If you file your resume to that company in America and they don't hire you on basis of gender, they're liable to be sued, as well as face criminal fines.

Eh, maybe for casuals or passive fans. There isn't a hardcore fan I know of that doesn't love the women's fights. Their flexibility adds a totally different dynamic to the ground game, and because women lack ko power, you tend to see more technical fights. There's an awful lot of overlap on that venn diagram. That, and left wing politics are fused at the hip to social justice identity politics. Currently, the ideology of the left is at odds against men's rights. I feel like I didn't address your second point very much. I think your second point could be applicable if this wasn't the standard fare for every dangerous job. It's pretty rare that people get nailed for false charging rape claims and the DA most assuredly knows that those type of charges are especially a hard sell. Basically, if they're charging her, it's because this is a slam…

You'd think if foreskin served no real purpose we'd have evolved it away by now. Now you might argue that evolution doesn't happen that quickly, however, just as we know for fact that folks were, on average shorter than us today, we also know they had smaller dicks. As it turns out, among primates, we have the largest dick to body size ratio because we've gone out of our way to evolve that feature. Yeah, but by the same token, I was averaging $20/hr delivering pizza, and I didn't need 4 years of college debt to get that pay grade. You can achieve a high pay grade without stacking tons of debt. And for the cost of college debt and the basic requirements for a job in education, you could instead go into engineering or a similar field that pays a lot better. Beyond that, I think the work cycle appeals more to women because it works well for those that want to have a family and a work life.

I know a lot of folks here want to point the finger at a grand feminist conspiracy theory, but could it be that there are fewer men in education because it is not a decent job? If you can make the same wages as a manager at Burger King or putting up dry wall, wouldn't you rather deal with dry wall over the insanity of the education system? I think what we see in the education system is more a result of personal choice, over anything else. You don't go into education for the pay, and pay is the m…

It's not "rare". Women are the primary instigators of non-reciprocal violence. In fact, lesbians have the highest rates of domestic violence. You're just operating off of pure observation. You clearly don't know the facts. The video was an experiment in seeing how society deals with domestic violence when it's atypical. I think the distinction to make is in effective institutional power. The biggest organization in regards to that would be the church, and it's not entirely a conservative institution. I think it might be fair to say they probably also have power in certain industries. Feminism is in a unique position right now though. It's figured out how to weaponize its philosophy to cow entire industries. Gamergate is famous for its effects on polarizing the community, and that's spilled into comics, movies, …

Ya know I never said they would ban abortion. I said they'd vote along cultural values. When given the opportunity, they will fall in line with conservatives over progressives, if only because conservatives treasure the family values of the two parent home. They will inevitably have an effect on the face of law in the UK. Now to say if it'll be a good or bad effect is an entirely different story. They are, however, the most popular name, which is certainly indicative of a large, growing population of second generation immigrants. This fact still supports my main point, being that the large and emerging second generation immigrant population will have their place at the table in local politics, and they will predominantly vote based on cultural values. Look dude, if 40% of boys are named Muhammed in the UK, let's assume 1 in 10 to be non affiliated with Islam (which I think is generous, as it is probably more like 1 in 1,000), that'd mean roughly 15% of eligible young male voters in the UK will be Muslim or at least from an Islamic culture and presumably would share many of the values of their parent culture. 49% of children born in the UK are female, and so we can presume a similar statistic within the foreign population. No, not all of it. The most popular child name in the UK, if you don't count spelling variations, is Muhammed. It's at something like 40% if I remember correctly. Now let's reference something; we know from correlative evidence that violent crime and murder rates dropped 20 years after abortion was legalized in America because an entire segment of the population (that being unwanted children) ceased to be. Now imagine what happens when you do the opposite of that, plus you tack on a foreign cult…

The most common name for a child in the UK is Muhammed. Give it 20 years. The euro governments suck at integration because they don't want to piss off their social Marxists for "cultural erasure" or something to the regard. Because of this, in 20 years, you'll have a massive voting block of religiously conservative Muslim men and women with virtually no cultural ties to national history. The UK government even funds Muslim private schools with very little oversight for what they're teaching.

And for arguments sake, the bible and Jewish texts have verses about dominating cultures also. That's what Germany's context of War was all about in WW2; battling the influence of Jewish culture. You know, Islamic culture actually has been good to science and education in its past. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_in_the_medieval_Islamic_world Historically speaking, the horrifically barbaric behavior of Islam is a relatively new thing brought upon it by the meddling of Western culture, primarily American culture, which used it to destabilize the region and manipulate it for the cause of War. So, in other words, to prove it is because of bias, we'd have to directly ask the judge if he made his sentence based on gender? I mean, sentencing I presume would be safe to say is an overall psychological trend. For example, if you have tattoos all over your face with skulls, death and shit like that, you're more likely to get harsh sentencing. In this scenario, the evidence you want is so unattainable, that even if I were to compile a list of this judge's cases that shown an overall trend of …

You're technically right, women are genetically programmed to find good fathers attractive. I'd say hatred of the oppressing class is a result of social engineering math. Firstly, it is typical that poverty increases crime and violence; it's not a matter that they want to commit crime, rather, it's a result of being impoverished. Secondly, hated and violence is also typical among classes of people with very little interaction between the two groups. For instance, in areas where race based class oppression exists, there is often very little integration. It isn't because they're naturall…

Speaking generally, at this point in life, the average American is still very much in the lifestyle of just being a teen/kid, and that's a massive far cry from the stress and responsibility involved with being an adult. A serious relationship between child and adult thrusts the child into adult life entirely too early. A purely sexual relationship shows at least that some advantage is being taken. And I think …

So, with those differences in mind, are you suggesting that we ought to have two separate sets of laws that depends on your gender? Should we restrict the rights of one gender over the other? Men on average are punished more severely and convicted more often then women on every level, despite committing many crimes at the same rates or lower, such as child neglect and abuse. That's not even getting into rape and skin color where statistics diverge even further from common sense. Mother fucking gamergate. Or how about just a walk i…

I couldn't really think of anything comparitive to this level of bonkers, if you can, feel free to fill in the blanks for me. And to be fair, I'm comparing the two levels of audacity of the two opinions, not necessarily their actual content. As a gay man myself, I find the suggestion incredibly offensive. Nor has the act of taking it in the behind made me less of a man. To take something that is normal for my bedroom and turn it into a tool of shame. This is on the same level as the Republican presumption that since abortion is cool, rape must be okay too. From what I understand, there has been active campaigning by feminist groups to maintain the definition of rape not to include "made to penetrate" and do the same actively with statistics. When you include this factor, it shows that men are nearly often victims as women. Omission of data, loophole or no, is at least to say a bit corrupt? Certainly we'll agree feminism is very much quite interested in empowering women, however, I'd go far as to say that feminism is willing to notorious methods of…

I don't understand how she was charged differently than anybody else would. The judge used sound judgement. She made a dumb mistake. I've seen plenty of guys get off easy for equally stupid decisions. I'm just speaking from a legal point of view here. If Ronda Rousey had strolled up to this fellow and twisted his arm off in an arm bar, the penalty would be more severe. She obviously was operating out of sheer ignorance, and I don't think just because she's willing to swing on you means that you ought to swing on her. A guy would be able to do a lot more damage to a woman if he shared the conviction that the girl did. It was pretty obvious that it was mostly inconvenient that this girl attacked him, she wasn't exactly putting him in mortal danger. The cultural reinforcement of gender norms is also a biological construct. Is beneficial for the survival of the species. Largely, our gender rules are dictated by biology. It's largely the same among all mammals.

The error in this is that gender IS biologically determined. I recall a story of a child that was born male, but due to complications, had his penis removed and was classified as female. His entire life, he yearned for male identity, but was boxed into his female persona, and eventually went suicidal at a young age. For the life of me I can't remember his name though. However, the point is, is that gender identity is a function of evolution. Men have been doing things like hunting, providing for…

I think it's also particularly harsh for the LGBT community because for us, gender identity is HUGELY important. It's often the reason why some folks choose to transition; they feel like their gender doesn't match their biology. It seems to me like feminism has an obsession with the term "eradication". They can say that men love to destroy, but frankly, this often their primary solution to many of their so called issues.

How edgy. I bet this is super gratifying to all those college radfems mastering on women's studies. Once again, another wonderful example of feminism's "if you're not with us, you're against us" thought pattern. The patriarchy being the all encompassing term for every other person on the planet.

I'll give bigotry an attitude no matter where it comes from. MRA is NOT a safe haven for lady bashers, racists, or any brand of supremacist. You seem to continuously stereotype women, and I gotta tell ya, it's not funny. Feminists aren't unhappy, not are they the joy police, they're simply misguided individuals. You may want to try a different sub if your opinion is different.

This is a serious rights movement. We don't need bigotry or outright detracting statements to muck up what we wish to achieve here. Yeah, we hate feminism in its modern form and even more so in its radical form, but we don't hate women and certainly don't think less of them. They are equals, we simply wish that authority figures would recognize it.

What is it with feminists and the suggestion of castration? It's one of their go to solutions. "Here's this problem, it should be a female only problem, but I want it solved right now. Men should care about it so much that they drop everything else for me, or else we'll start lobbing dicks off." Did anybody else get that from this?

I agree, the predator will do anything in their power to mentally disable their prey. You can certainly blame him for accepting it, however, it doesn't make her any less despicable. It's not unreasonable to expect people to be civilized; a predator will feed on this desire as any sociopath would.

You're either just trolling now, or you're under educated. The base argument is on teaching boys not to rape. My argument is that beyond what we naturally teach our children, it's unnecessary and even perhaps counter productive to teach boys not to rape. If it were that the natural state of mankind was violence, we'd all conduct violence on a massive scale. You are wrong however, violent criminals are a minority, and after accounting for poverty induced violent crimes, they are an even smaller m…

You're referencing to the developing years in which children test authority. By the time boys are going through puberty, they know the difference between right and wrong. Violence is not the natural state of humans, nor any other breed of ape. We are social, just, and generally benevolent naturally. Culture, family structure, and poverty have more to do with violence than the natural state, and I think it's safe to presume most kids are taught to be nice and do the right thing.

Being violent isn't a natural human disposition, At least at the criminal level. After accounting for poverty based violence, other violence can be written off as either situational or as an aberration. Essentially, telling a rapist not to rape is like telling a cancer patient not to have cancer; mental instability and aberrant violent behavior is much akin to generic mutation, and sometimes it's a result there from. As a gay mra myself, I can sympathize with this line of thinking. Modern American women disgust me on a cultural level. It's hard to find a lady that hasn't abused the privileges afforded to them by society, and feminism certainly isn't correcting that behavior. Police treat everybody like crap. Our justice system makes profit from putting people behind bars. Presuming it were ever possible to make legislation that specifically protects men from certain prosecution, they'd simply move their focus onto greener pastures, so to speak. It's a systematic issue that covers multiple problems within a broken system operated by corrupt individuals, from top-down.
/r/MensRights04/06/13 04:45 PM

Just let em be and move on. The best stance one can have is one of non-aggression. We don't have to play their games. Character attacks are a sign of weakness, which I think means we might be winning.

I'd love to see an a day when women can be independent too Beyonce, but I doubt that day will come with modern feminism as it stands today. If you constantly need protection, need special judicial treatment, etc etc, how can you ever expect to truly be equal. Ya know, I think what Beyonce wants is everything men have, and that's not equality. Equal but different. We may not have the save things, talents, jobs, or attributes, but that doesn't mean things aren't fair. They're just different.
