What a shit thread lol. Male athletes get paid a hundred times more than women because that's what they're worth. Same with actors and other parts of the entertainment industry. That's the free market at work. No reason to get butt hurt over the fact that pretty women get attention and can monetize it, and even worse to pretend it's some men's rights issue.

Listen. Twitch sucks right now. Their policies are unclear and poorly enforced. However, this is a terrible example. Zherka was not banned for "opening a bikini picture". He was banned for streaming his dating app, violating something clearly, explicitly, undeniably in Twitch's ToS: Do not invade the privacy of others. It is prohibited to share content that may reveal private personal information about individuals, or their private property, without permission. This includes but is not limited t…

Yet this thread is started because the OP is complaining about his perception that black women don't view him as a fitting romantic partner.

The two groups reunite. I don't recall who lights the fire.

I guess you missed the shouting between the two men that left the island because they couldn't handle the social dynamics of not being in charge in the group. Had they instead stuck through and stayed on the island, I'd wager things would have become quite "vile and bitchy". You probably also missed the women relighting the fire in order to purify the water they find. People suck. When put in stressful conditions, their suckiness is amplified - that is not unique to the women's group, despite yo…

How many of the men flashed passing fishers to get food? Hopefully none. It doesn't sound like an effective strategy.

couldn't make fire The women made a fire quicker than the men and did it using the typical survival method, whereas the men ended up needing to use glasses to focus the sun's light. The men had plenty of interpersonal issues that you would expect, also. The men did better as a whole, of course, but there's no reason to misrepresent what actually took place.

Allow me to offer a different perspective - that of the child of a single parent. Children of single parents often feel depressed on these days because it reminds them of what they are missing. The single parent taking on the role of both parents likes to emphasize the "missing" role that they are filling on these days to assure the child that they are not missing out for only having a single parent.

Saying that people are not "choosing" something is not the same as saying that it is out of control. Would you say that a 250 pound 12 year old who was fed McDonalds since he was capable of chewing "chose" to be obese? Because I certainly wouldn't. And if that same child remained obese through adulthood because it was extremely difficult for him to lose the weight, I wouldn't say he "chose" to be obese.

So is it really that hard to imagine those who don't work their way out of poverty are often choosing poverty instead of financial stability? No, it's not hard to imagine. But I'm not interested in your imaginings. I'm interested in the facts. The effects measured across large subsets of the population. Because in just the same way as you can make an argument for poor people "choosing" to be poor, one can make an argument that it is due to systemic factors. The data that I've seen analyzed suppo…

Health insurance is not a magical solution. It's expensive and still requires out-of-pocket payments that can cripple someone financially.

Well the numerous studies contradict your belief based upon your observation. Just because you know successful immigrants does not mean that there are not millions of other people out there struggling because of the financial hardships they face due to circumstances outside of their control. Studies show the very real and significant effects that parental wealth and education have on the outcomes of future generations. Obviously the full picture isn't being presented, but I still don't see what's wrong with the advice being given. You have an extremely unhappy partner in a marriage expressing that she has tried to work things out but has received no reciprocating effort. The advice to leave is sound. I would say the same thing to a man in a similar position. I didn't see anything about a restraining order discussed, but I didn't read the whole thread. Now, if your issue is that if the genders were reversed, th…

I'm not saying it could not be determined. I was withholding making a judgment call on the initial contact, since the OP did not provide a very clear picture of the incident. Continue to try and argue it all you'd like, but I was in no way saying that it's only wrong to fondle someone after they've said no.

You said it's sexual assault after he said no. So it wasn't sexual assault until he said no. That's not logically sound. Just because I said everything after he said "No" was sexual assault, doesn't mean I'm saying that anything before he said "No" was not sexual assault.

He's not looking to press charges, he's not looking to cry in a corner, he's looking for someone to talk to. Your response to that is to insult him.

Everything that happened after he clearly stated "No" was sexual assault.

It's interesting how the other students that are quoted in the article are all females.

Just because it's college doesn't mean you shouldn't involve your parents. Many college students have their parents paying their tuition, which makes them very powerful in the conversation. Parents are often more forceful and demanding, which may be needed. I'm not saying to always involve your parents, but you shouldn't immediately dismiss the role that your parents can play.

Clearly this is because men are more likely to abuse the disability system. Thankfully there are women in charge that can see through their bullshit and deny their disability claims. /s
