If you haven’t been to counseling give it a shot, there could be something that the other needs to hear. A good counselor can help with that. Try a physical separation, maybe it’s so heated that you both need to just take a break. Maybe this is a month, or six months, or a year . In my state this can be very informal, or very documented (with a separation agreement that will eventually become the basis for your divorce agreement). Divorces are expensive and nobody really wins. If it’s not (yet) …

In my state it’s possible to impute a full time minimum wage income as a starting point. But my state currently has the position that both parents must do as much as they can to raise their children.

No 50/50 means each spouse contributes to the same amount to the overall budget. And some may say that anything above the budget is then kept for each spouse, respectively. But that would be a more extreme version of 50/50 This requires both spouses working.

I’m the breadwinner of my household. I wouldn’t care if it was the other way around. I’d need to have purpose to my life, outside of raising my family. I think this applies to anyone in a relationship whether or not they are the breadwinner.
