Yeah no problem. I hear you on opera - it's not everyone's cup of tea ;) I also grew up in a very conservative religion, and left in collage. It's only been a few years now, but time away from that environment really helped me. You have nothing to feel shame over, regardless of your religious status. You seem chill and thoughtful, and your people are out there (ever tried Meet Up?). I wish you all the best. Cheers :)

You're only 20! Listen, take some literature and music classes and meet people! I know covid, but things will go on in some way. From a lady's perspective, a dude who reads Dostoevsky? For me, attention is complicated. Yeah, it can be flattering to feel like you look good that day, or attract someone you like or think is cute. But attention has many nuanced feelings, and attention is defined differently by everyone (is a look attention, but leering/being pushy not attention?...). I hope it goes without saying, just because I take issue with assuming women all secretly love [fill in the blank], I agree, no one should feel ashamed for feeling desire.
