However, some still get acne coming off of accutane, but usually to a lesser extent. That being said, I do not recommend it, as it can have some pretty undesirable and permanent side effects (such as joint pain). That I could at best expect a 50℅ reduction in visible scarring. I don't have acne anymore, but I can't get clear skin because of the scarring and because the current methods for dealing with scarring just reduce the visibility minimally. Also, at best, you can expect a 50% reduction in scarring from acne scar treatments/surgery. Acne, for some, is a lifetime thing they have to deal with it.
