I mostly agree. If I were a betting man, I'd even say that the next man, or men, she picks in life will also be dominating types. She is likely attracted to men like that. Odds are better than 50/50 that's just who she is as a person and that's not a malleable trait. But I would leave open the possibility, though small, that she thought she was attracted in dominating type personalities and now realizes she isn't. Is it fair to say that an alternate interpretation is that she got what she though she wanted but was wrong? Not saying you should feel bad for her necessarily. One could argue that it was just a learning experience with a particular high cost.
