Sounds like something my uber super conservative Christian uncle would say. Not to mention a chunk of Billy betas in my life. Well I'm not uber-conservative, nor a Christian - I understand sensibilities like this can appear "beta" too, though I don't believe I reflect this association. What does "someone better" mean to you? What is a "cool ass" woman? Does "guess who calls back in a couple of months" make you happy? Would you re-associate with this person? I wonder if you agree with the followi…

I think there's an element of "not giving a fuck" encapsulated in the concept of "be yourself." It seems like leftist, SJW sensibilities have unfortunately been injected into the concept of "being oneself." As if "be yourself" has suddenly been switched to meaning: "comfort with underachievement." True... if all women are the same, they're all equally LTR viable. There are huge differences in personality and value, but Briffault's law and hypergamy are universal. Yes, they are universal, but I t…

Thanks for the response, sorry for the late reply. I think my misunderstanding is the role of sex in the ideal LTR. Moving the interaction towards sex IS authentic behavior, because women have little else to offer and it's what we want So is the thesis that in an LTR, our primary motivator is "little else" than sex on a consistent basis? Do concepts of loyalty and mutual improvement matter to us? It should be. LTR's that start without sex lack passion. Does having a passionate relationship becom…

True, but what if it's a high-SMV man telling a younger man to "be himself" and to "not give a fuck," essentially to be unapologetic in screening out women from one's life, if the personalities don't align? AWALT is a good concept, but in this case, seems to discourage men from screening out bullshit from their LTR as an argument from futility.

I think "be yourself" is too vague of an expression. On one hand, it can take on the character you point out: "'putting your cards on the table' - 'do not improve'" etc." However, can it not also take on the effect like you allude to where the man's SMV exceeds the SMV of the woman? When you say this, I assume you're referring to how "be yourself" in this situation would take on the character of a man screening out undesirable personality traits that don't align with his own unique personality.

Thank you for the response. It is true that the concept of "the one" leaves men destroyed by female hypergamy, through pretending that male and female dating advice are the same, and that male-specific dating advice is unfairly shouted down as sexist and misogynistic. However, shouldn't it be true that as a man who has reached high status, that the concept of "screening" women allows for him to "screen" for qualities that might be considered "quirks" to other people, if he so desires? And that o…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
