You're absolutely right. We should want to be better than men, not equal to.

Why would anyone want to pick up LVM?

Maybe 25%?

This makes me so fucking angry. This is the kind of shit that makes me despise men. It's so cruel and degrading to treat women, moreover your fucking wife, like she's an object at your disposal to fuck. It's disheartening - the lack of empathy.

As someone who is a recovering anxious-avoidant, the impression I got from learning about attachment theory is that it's specifically not rational to the situation at hand, but rather a reflection of previous childhood conditioning. Meaning avoidant people are avoidant with everyone including those who are good for them, because they're emotionally unavailable. It's about them, not the people they are dating. I think it leaves us in an unhelpful dead end when we believe that avoidance is because…

I agree with this way of handling things as well. Sometime people though don't like spending energy mirroring a rando dude, so it's easier to be direct so they can stop wasting your time. It depends on your energy level I think.

I'm not sure about that, what I am sure about is that not a single man has ever broken up with me. They instead have made being in the relationship so miserable, that I had to do it. It's so fucking mean.

I too was raised completely enmeshed in my boundary-less family. For the longest time I felt like I had to be incredibly agreeable with people at the expense of myself. All it gave me was further hurt. Since I learned about boundaries and began practicing them, my quality of life has completely turned around. I finally feel in control of my life and my peace.

I don't think it's up to you to decide what is liberating for other women. Just like it's not up to a man to decide what self respect for a woman looks like.

It's not being a bitch, it's being a woman who has high self worth. That's what they're drawn to.

"Don't hate me if I'm bad at texting" = "I will leave you on read for over 24 hours and expect you to still be into me"

You should ask her how the whole world managed to get in on this conspiracy theory when they can't agree on anything else.

I think they see one "scrote" comment and get their feelings hurt while not even looking into what this place is about. Childish.

It's too bad you were down voted because it's a reasonable question during COVID. To me, I would not dine indoors. But I would expect some kind of effort. Picnic at the park is good or some sort of outdoor activity.

It's true. I've had men on Hinge ask me to walk in the park, and others straight up say "let's go to dinner". They show from the start.

Unfortunately dating men has been the times of my life with least peace (sans my first boyfriend who was a sweetheart). I've had panic attacks where I've stayed in bed 3 days on xanax. Now I've learned to set really good boundaries and communicate.

I don't agree with that advice, so I do believe you should to have a chance at a real connection. I'd give it at least 6 months to a year before mentioning it.

Nah these are grown 32 year old men. They can do better, they just choose not to.

Want to share my recent dating story, because in the past I would've kept seeing this guy. He was gorgeous, tall, financially stable, liked his personality. 3 strikes unfortunately happened: Both dates the first thing he brought up was how "girly" something was with a disdainful tone. 1st it was a cocktail, and the 2nd it was his shirt? I deserve better than someone who thinks women/feminine things are bad and is clearly insecure about his own masculinity given his shirt was totally gender neutr…

How is he a caring good guy when he lies to you? The lying part is what's the worst imo, worse than being messy or cuddling a friend.

Yeah, it's unfortunate to be confronted with the fact that few men are decent enough where you can just be 100% comfortable with them. It forces us to keep our guard up longer.

Easy come, easy go. Don't take it personally when someone who you literally went on 1 date with ghosts you or isn't interested. With ghosting especially, see that it's a blessing - ghosting without fear of harm is cowardly behavior. Say thank you for him not wasting your time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
