I strongly disagree. I do not think it should be treated as murder because of the nature of the crime. I really don't think she was fully aware of what she was doing. But that's just my opinion.

I don't think we should jail people for smoking weed. I'm Canadian and it's about to become legal. I think it's because she had severe post partum depression. You may not think it's reasonable to think she was not in the right state of mind but I do.

I think that it should be up to a psychologist to determine that. Post partum depression is not the same as depression. Its the result of a home imbalance from pregnancy. Mental health is a serious issue and I don't like it when people are criminalized for it (men and women). That's not to say that people shouldn't be punished or put in jail. Post partum depression can be quite severe. Some women kill themselves because of it and their children. I'd invite you to perhaps research it a little. In this case the woman could be considered not criminally responsible due to mental disorder (at least if this happened in Canada). I'd just like to point out that plus sized may not mean the same thing as overweight. Overweight implies there's a health issue. Somebody can be plus sized but not have any health issues. Just a thought.
