I dated a fat guy very briefly because he was very sweet and had a lot of HV qualities. I was attracted to his face and had no problem making out with him, but if he was on top of me, I felt scared like he was going to actually crush me. For that reason I could never feel safe dating someone that much bigger than me. Men don't have to worry about personal safety even if the roles were reversed.

Curious what the girlfriend may have thought about the gifts. If it were me, I'd be absolutely repulsed and insulted by the lingerie and even eyelashes (as if my bf prefers me with "fake" beauty over my natural state). The flowers would be appreciated only if he didn't have to ask what I liked. Yeah sure if you're first dating and getting to know each other, but when it's obvious a "surprise" is coming? Nah sis

Curious about this as well! I find any social media to be a red flag tbh, since I personally hate it. I have insta just to upload pictures of my cat every once on a while, but I don't have the app downloaded and don't really follow anyone or ever doing any scrolling/interacting. My last LVX used insta "to find new music" but had his profile private and I never dared request to follow him because my gut knew I wouldn't like what I saw. Still have no idea what he used insta for or what kind of peo…

As a child free woman, I have on my profiles DOES NOT AND NEVER WILL WANT CHILDREN. I either get people who clearly show "Want Children" in their preferences or every once in a while a scrote will send a like with a message berating me for my decision

Spot on. My NVX didn't plan anything for my birthday because I "should have told him what I wanted to do." No gift or anything. And just a month prior we celebrated his birthday. These men have a special way of making you feel so not-special, and it is truly damaging.

Needed this reminder today ❤ I was in a situation like this in my last relationship that ended not too long ago. The worst part is he broke up with me because me asking him to do the bare minimum "made him feel like a shitty boyfriend" and it was always my fault for making him feel not good enough. I hated it because I'm a very vocal person and always try to ask for what I want or call me out on their BS, but it came to the point where I felt like I had to bite my tongue because if I asked for s…

My LVX used to talk up from the very beginning how important it was that I (or any girl he's dating) get along with his friends. While I definitely see the importance in this (I would want my friends to get along with any guy I introduce to them), he would bring it up so much to the point where I didn't even feel comfortable meeting his friends. My gut knew that his friends would always be more important to him than I ever would be, and my gut also knew that if I were to meet his friends, he wou…

Yup, I'm at the point where I won't date anyone if they use IG/tiktok. It's become close enough to porn and I think social media use is toxic anyway so if a dude spends his free time scrolling it's a major turn off for me

Good point 😅 All of my abuser exes blocked me before I could block them. The breakups were very cold (emotionally unavailable, avoidant men) and unempathetic, and I never heard from any of them again. I always hear that "exes always come back" but mine never did. It left me wondering for the longest time if I was the "bad" one, but tbh it's because I was gaslit so much in those relationships to make me question that. Good, healthy people don't coldly discard people like that without an explanati…

I can relate to this a lot, since it seems all my abuser exes moved on quickly to other women and have been together since. Meanwhile I can't seem to get a date with anyone half worth my time. It's almost like these "new" women must just be oblivious to the abuse, or perhaps have the coping strategies that I did not have. Kind of makes it feel unfair in a way, like "if I was too oblivious to feel abused, I could have a happy, sustainable relationship and wouldn't know any different."

Personally I wouldn't be comfortable with either. I understand it's normal to be attracted to other people, but I would never think to share those details with someone I'm romantically interested in, and would expect my partner to have the same level of common sense/integrity with me

I've had a few, actually. One of them was very short and I wouldn't consider it a relationship (was about 3 months of dating) and he was probably the most HVM I've ever been romantically involved with, but we ended things due to our differences in life goals (I'm childfree). The other relationships were extremely toxic with emotionally umavailable men and I'm still trying to heal fully from the trauma of being used and discarded. I still use OLD because it's what I'm familiar with, but I'm defin…
