The amount of push-ups someone can do is irrelevant to how good of a soldier they are. My job was a traditionally male job, even on the civilian side. The intellectual standard was not lowered for women, just like everywhere else in the army. If lifting heavy things was the only standard to get into the military, they would be significantly lacking in several areas that don’t require lifting heavy things
