I only put it in the other person's hands if I trust them, i.e. longtime girlfriend, or friend for that matter. That's BS, it takes two people to make it, and regardless of whether the father doesn't want to pay, it is still a decision he should be part of. The woman should have a little more of a say, because ultimately she has to go through the procedure, but if the man and woman weren't planning a baby, why weren't the necessary precautions taken i.e. condom, birth control, etc. It is a responsibility on both parts and should be a discussion between the two people.
