Other people have put forward good tips, so I'll state a major don't. DON'T be that guy that walks up behind a girl and stands there creepily. We've all seen him, roughly three feet away. Unsure of whether to say anything or just dance it out by himself. Either way, she will notice, her friends will notice, and so will other girls. Work up the courage to hit the dance floor or take your time getting comfortable and in state before you go out there, but don't awkwardly stand there trying to figur…

I understand this system, but how does it work in real time? Do you come back to the room and say "one sec" and grab a red pen before heading back outside? I've never shared a room, only an apartment, so I've always simply had a look for shoes by the door policy.

Thank you for a very well written piece. Most material seems to transform your life and help you find girls that you'd like to be around, but in some way makes you unavailable for relationships. You properly addressed how you can continue being the man you want to be and include a girl that you have found to be as enjoyable as you see yourself.

I've had Success in the past by approaching a girl walking and asking if she knew where a building was/could show me. Make sure the building is that direction and a bit down the road. Preferably do this when you're not in a hurry so you can control the pace of the walk and the conversation. If you being new and not knowing campus comes up, bonus points for telling her you knew where it was and just wanted to talk to her.

A more fitting original statement would've been if its been cured, don't disclose it's previous existence. Pedantry aside, I'm glad it was nothing permanent and you're right, you don't need to disclose that you had something in the past.

Well, tell others if you are considering having sexual contact with them.

In some cases (on a subway for instance) that makes a lot of sense. Easy to scare someone off during the day. Good insight, sir.

Um...let me get this straight. Not only do you work with this younger girl, but she's also engaged? By your age, I'm assuming this is an occupation not a part time job. Is this girl that clearly has no problem fooling around on her fiancee(even if they cheated first), worth the potential work place drama? I'll paint a picture. You do finally get some play from her. She rubs it in his face and you get a pissed off boyfriend coming to work. You're both let go to avoid drama. I'm all for dipping th…

Definitely not the kind of person one should be casual with and definitely not the type to lead on. She seems to be dealing with her own issues (poorly at that) and could end up being a completely different person than the one that she is now. Unless she's a perfect match, I'd cut ties.

I'll be forward with it. Do you think that you're a weakling? I by no means am as strong or fit as the majority of people out at the bar or even in classes. I do, however, feel stronger than my old self. Hit the gym, fix your posture, hold your head high. Most people don't do these things.

If you read, go to the same coffee shop around the same time to do your reading. If you don't read, start. Having a place that the staff knows you is fantastic proof. Plus you will meet other people there.

Continue like it didn't happen, abort the set if needed. She may just not be ready to make that jump in contact. Try again after a little bit. I've been rejected on the first kiss attempt and ended up f-closing.

I'm a pretty big fan of asking them how good of a kisser they are. The way that they answer and look at you tells you whether they are open to the idea or not. You can then follow it up with the kiss or do a little push pull by saying you'll see, getting close then backing off while saying later.

Use lube, dryness cured. I wouldn't drop condoms and trust an ex that doesn't already take the pill to take the pill consistently. This is more of a post for r/sex by the way.

I'd personally grab a cab because you don't want time for attraction to grow stale. from the sound of it at least you can make conversation on the metro and the walk, but staying conscientious of your surroundings while escalating may be difficult.

Nice field report. Was there much in the way of conversation between you and the Columbian or was it mostly body language? I've only been to a few dubstep shows and I couldn't hear for a week much less that night.

Could have ended a hell of a lot worse. Good luck, just remember not to focus too hard on one girl (until you have her then by all means settle down if you want).

I have no advice, you are right though, they will talk. You might have to pick one and hope that you pan out a three way again in the distant future. I will say this much. You better buy your buddy a couple drinks. You also better wing for him if he ever needs it.

Being "alpha" and intelligent are not mutually exclusive. The number of times that he says "alpha" is pretty damn obnoxious. That said he has a playful and confident attitude which is something that should be repeated.

Buyer's remorse. She doesn't want to be around a guy that she in a sense cheated on her boyfriend with. She doesn't want you to assume that you will start where you left off.

Honestly I don't know. Facebook is seen as lowering you. If you always update it...that's bad. If cute girls are adding pictures of you (surrounded by cute girls) that's good. If your tone on there makes you seem boring...that's bad. I could see that working. You could also try a quick talk if you notice they are online or something and end it after a bit saying something about having to go but how they should get together with you in the fall. Then try to keep talking to a minimal. I tend to av…

The issue that I see is that you are getting contacted months in advance. You can't casually set up a date/hangout. Unless someone lives near you. They will get to know you through your posts and what people post on your wall (or lack there of). I'd say ignore them until you meet them on campus. What's the point of having a couple extra "friends" on facebook. Unless you intend to friendzone these girls to get in with their hot friends. Plus its a DHV to roll up to the freshman party with a coupl…

On a side note you don't have to hope someone will randomly jump in and help. I've talked to random people and had them say good bye when they left hours later, awesome. In one case I told a guy that I needed his help and all it included was drinking a beer with me while I shamelessly flirted with two girls. He jumped on the opportunity because his friends were just standing around.

I think you handled it well. Chances are she would not actually risk losing her job in an attempt to satisfy her urges toward a (possibly) drunk guy that she may never see again. No matter how well you were doing I have a feeling it was just playful banter and an attempt to throw you off your feet. Nice job remembering the name. I've made that mistake more times than I'd like to admit. Edit: added possibly because she knew you had been drinking.

Have you mentioned it to him while sober? Inform him that you enjoy his company and that's why you chose to live with him and you like going out with him (if any of this is true) but sometimes when you go out you feel like he's following you too closely and doesn't do his own thing. Offer to help him meet new people if he needs it. Tell him how to start conversations of his own. Nights that my AA is high I will often talk to the girls that my friends are speaking to...normally I am considerate e…

Ask for sun screen. If she walks by and you're laying around act mad that she is "in your sunlight." Other than that treat it like any situation. Walk up and ask an opinion or a question.

If conversation dies you can just talk for a minute and jump back to a recent conversation "wait a minute did you say that you [topic that she mentioned and you think you can run with]." It will flow naturally as long as you don't do it too often.

I'll offer my opinions (I'm no expert though). In the dorm room when she was making eye contact wave her to come over to you. Share your seat, stand together. You don't have to follow the norm of the room, you can set it. I see no problem in suggesting that you show her your dorm. If she is interested in you at all she will say at minimum, "not this time." She might come back with you just to see it, where you could go for the kiss and have her meet you with the same statement "not this time." W…

Often times I wont add a girl (that I'm interested in) until she reliably hangs out with me and seems eager to see me. The alternative is to wait for her to add you, either way it implies that you've already had a bit of contact with her.

"Forget it." Seems a bit too strong to me. I could see the concept working but you can't come off as upset/disappointed. I like the idea of the apology to make it clear that you're the one deciding to go out with someone else.

Very well written FR. Also nice job. I'm curious to see how she will react to a sudden attitude change immediately after you F-closed. I've made a similar move in the past and it was damaging in my case.

I couldn't find a link but in the past on seddit someone mentioned a good play on "you're too young." You follow up with something along the lines of, "you're probably right, there is no way that you could keep up with me all night." Or some other variation turning her dis-qualifier into a situation where she has to prove herself to you rather than the other way around. I've only tried it a few times but it has worked like a charm every time.

Easier said than done, but don't judge your character by your experience. The people that you are talking to will be lucky to spend time with you; you just need to realize that first.

Are you positive that there isn't a dormant period with HSV-1? Or is she the only girl in a while? 72 hours just seems pretty quick to be exposed and develop a noticeable out break.

The problem is once a group of people (her and her friends) view you in a certain way, self fulfilling prophecy will take over and you wont have much of a choice. I'm personally of the view that once someone is lost don't waste your time, no one is worth spending all your time just to attempt to tame. In a way its of the same view point.

Those "lines" are so repulsive that I wouldn't talk to myself again if I ever used them.

That's a lot like my three strikes policy. I mark them in my cell to remind me if I am looking to make plans with someone. Basically one strike means I'm going to hesitate for little bit. Two strikes means they are going to have to initiate contact. Three strikes and its going to take a lot for me to respond to them. I can obviously remove strikes for good behavior. edit: strikes don't necessarily equate to flakes. Any form of nonsense that I don't want put up with can be penalized.

I definitely agree that alcohol will give you the confidence boost that you sometimes need. Also a different approach for dancing that I've had work is to play the roll of the standard female dancer on approach. Back up into her and grind your ass on her...a lot of girls will respond well to it. You can then easily turn around and dance face to face, then spin her a little by doing a semi twirl of her hand in the air.

You could always give her just a taste of what's to come. Gently touch your lips to her and pull away. People get annoyed and stare when you have your tongue down a girls throat and your hands are wandering. Plus that leaves something for her to get self conscious about. With a slow gentle pressing of your lips followed by more dancing you can suddenly say, "let's get out of here." The rest is up to you.

...Are you really at a college thing posting onto seddit? I personally look for girls that are on their phones and all them out on it...easy opener. The problem is that girls generally aren't going to open you. Get your ass to a different scene if you don't feel comfortable just walking up and grinding (I can't do it either). Have fun and fun will be had. Don't drink too much, believe it or not it doesn't actually make you smooth.

That's good and everything, but remember not to focus on just this girl. You have hung out with her once and she lives an hour away...it's going to be hard to get something started especially if you contact her and she actually is busy. Try to make plans if you're headed that way and make her tell you when she is headed your way, anything else is desperate and isn't worth your time.
