They didn't "have her removed" they arrested her on arrival and charged her for "Breach of Peace." Did you not read the article? In your living room she'd be trespassing, in this case she was using a publicly-available accommodation and was a valid ticket holder. Her entire list of crimes includes "making an unpleasant political speech" and "lighting a cigarette," the former of which is not a crime in my good old U S of A, and the latter of which is a ticketable fine, not an arrestable offense.

I don't believe for one split second that you guys would be so sanguine about this arrest if it had been a dude espousing Tea Party talking points. You'd be howling about the cops arresting someone for political speech on the charge of Breach of the Peace, which is essentially trying to start an actual fight. I find it kind of disturbing that her "crime" was a political rant. I kinda thought that that was one of the few forms of speech that was still sacrosanct, even if the person speaking (like her) is wrongheaded and obnoxious. ESPECIALLY if they are wrongheaded and obnoxious about proclaiming their political beliefs. That's sort of the whole point of the Freedom of Speech clause in the Bill of Rights isn't it? I think the dude went to jail because he is a career criminal who went on to commit a burglary the day he was released on bail for the assault. They pretty much had to jail him just based on priors. The three women appear to have much cleaner records than he, so the notoriously-lenient UK justice system gave them little wrist-slaps.
