This is a little misleading - they are providing space to feed the homeless at city hall instead. The issue was having a large homeless population being drawn into touristy areas and consequently running tourists off.

Out of curiosity would you mind linking to the comment in particular? I really enjoyed the women above you who posted having a similar experience but provided more context about the post and clearly linked the negativity to her revelation that she was a women. Without that context its hard to judge one way or another and just taking a brief look at your comment history reveals a rather aggressive style which could, alternatively, be the culprit in this case.

While I appreciate your advice this is common knowledge to most people who followed the health care law as it was one of the most widely touted aspects of the law. Not trying to take sides either way but what in the world does that have to do with surviving in low temperature situations? The higher body fat point was made because fat acts as insulation. If anything being larger is another disadvantage as it offers greater surface area to heat radiation.

Affirmative action has a long and storied history of being acceptable to address gender imbalances. Historically it has worked in women's favor and allowed for the development of whole groups advocating for the continuation of such affirmative action (as linked by aether). I understand the line of reasoning that the child needs full support I'm just not sure why the mother isn't required to reimburse the father once the child is self sufficient in egregious cases of fraud such as this. Something along these lines would prevent the child from suffering without placing undue burden on the father for actions taken without his consent on the part of the mother.

I was under the impression any property acquired while married was considered under joint ownership. He could be breaking the law if she owned the phone prior to the marriage and all phone bills were paid out of separate funds but that seems to be an unlikely set of events (albeit not impossible). Either way a presumption of guilt on the part of the police is grossly out of line.
