Depends on what you’re interested in. My boyfriend (19M) and I (19F) love to cook together. We’ve had date nights where we spend hours in the kitchen messing around with a new recipe and it’s incredibly fun and rewarding, plus we get to eat delicious food afterwards. A lot of people have suggested a movie at home which is a good starting point but can be boring if you don’t make it fun. Are you and your SO more childish in your interests? Build a pillow fort to cuddle together in while you watch…

Aw, don’t think like that. You don’t need to just take this relationship because you think it’s the best you can do. It’s not. You’re in your early 20s. Don’t waste anymore time on this guy. You have so much time to find a man who will be right for you and treat you much better.

This. I don’t think your mother would do this to you (at least I’d like to believe she wouldn’t) but I do believe that your boyfriend would try. He doesn’t sound like a good man for a long-term, marriage-oriented relationship. I’d get out of there and try to move on.

He may not be able to relate to it, but he should at the very least not be disrespectful about your feelings. Feelings are very real to the person experiencing them, and women in particular require empathy from their friends and partners to be happy. I also think that when talking to your partner to not put blame on him necessarily but rather take the “I” approach — tell him “I feel as though my feelings are not being treated with respect” rather than saying “you are not treating my feelings wit…

Everyone wants to be respected. It sounds like the biggest issue in your relationship is that he doesn’t make you feel like he cares, and that’s a problem. Obviously I don’t know him but as a young woman (19F) myself, it drives me crazy when people dismiss my problems simply because they are older and have had “worse” problems and try to tell me that I don’t even know what problems are. Problems are all relative - for a three year old, a paper cut is as disastrous as losing your job can be for a…

I (19f) also suffer from anxiety so I feel your pain. Personally I try to take care of things that I know will cause me to feel anxious that are within my control - I’m still in school, so for example this might include getting all of my homework done or studying for an upcoming test when my bf (19m) and I are not together. When we spend time together, I do my very best to stay as involved in the moment as I can, and I’ve found that essentially distracting myself with his presence is usually eno…

I want to return to my vigorous lower body workout routine that I maintained from January to May and then ended up stopping. I want to see a return of the lift in my flutes. I finally started a skincare routine and I want to cement it as a daily habit. I want to relearn how to crochet. By the end of the month I’d like to be able to produce small, simple pieces with a few different crochet styles.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
