Oh my god, I’m sorry. She sounds insane.

I’m sorry ❤️ it can be rough when family businesses fail and people’s true colors come out at the same time. Perhaps it’s better that she left now than when you were doing better financially. You deserve better. Reach out to close friends, or if you cant, join a support group or weekly call where you can air this out (google free weekly calls divorced men, or maybe join one of these groups: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/groups/ny/new-york?category=divorce) - it’s a lot to carry alone. Break…

Totally experienced this. Raised in such a culture (Indian/Pakistani). A “friend” tried to push his best mate on me from high school. Turns out this dude has a Mercedes, takes flying lessons on the weekends, has a job that ends at 5, a nice place, and hadn’t cooked in a year. I thought he had his life sorted. I said I hadn’t cooked in a year either because I’m usually tired with my crazy corporate job. He then said he gets food from Atlanta to NJ for himself every month. Confused, I asked for cl…

Literally spoke to a gay friend about this. That’s exactly it. Both parties know what it feels like to be penetrated and so obviously both realize they can’t do all sorts of weird, violent things just to orgasm or get aroused. It’s also why they’re more comfortable cuddling after sex (because both usually recognize you need affection after something so intimate).

Thanks for clarifying! Yes, my red flags: negging, passive aggressive jokes, pushing boundaries, hiding the relationship or that they’re seeing me, secretive, attempts to control, attempts to separate from family/friends, late night booty texts and no formal dates, no effort to know or care about my friends, inconsistent communication, sharing too much or complimenting too much too soon, inability to apologize, resenting paying or opening doors for me, if I feel belittled or emotionally drained …

Which red flags? Also... if you’re too detached, even a good man could interpret that as you not being interested?

Again, you’re assuming she’s falling all over herself to have sex with him. There’s no thought to her situation or the abuse. Things aren’t so black and white. Putting her down and calling her pickme just reinforces that she’s unworthy of respect and kindness because she probably has self esteem issues. I find it very holier-than-thou. That’s not the point of this sub anyway.

Women on this sub are generally savage and unkind to other women in that regard and it’s problematic.

Yeah I don’t think it’s kind to label her “pick me” for gods sake. It implies it’s completely her fault and doesn’t take into account her situation or the person responsible.

Agreed. HVFs threaten LVF’s perception of reality and they fight to maintain their perception. At the same time, I don’t think it’s safe to assume that none of them come from abusive environments (if you’re convinced you have low self worth, you weren’t born like that, someone taught it to you). Discovering your self worth as a woman is a journey in this society, and FDS can be infinitely valuable to that journey and help women as a whole. However, if whenever one comes on this sub, they see unn…

Agreed. Imagine the environment you grew up in if being neglected, abused or having low self worth is normal to you and what you think you deserve. It’s not a pass to be a forever victim, but doesn’t take a light switch to change in a society geared towards devaluing you and undo what’s usually 20 years of conditioning. I feel compassion can go a long way here.

“I don’t know if they deserve our scorn or judgment.” Spot on. I love FDS and it’s changed my perspective, but sometimes how nasty and judgmental the posters here are to other women is mind blowing. It sounds like misdirected anger from LVM to LVFs. You’re forgetting the root of the problem.

I’m a woman. I see VDKay already acknowledged this is bad advice, but just to drive the point home: “Escalate until you fuck her” (I mean I hope there’s consent involved? Her staying quiet and still while you creepily touch her isn’t necessarily consent. Ask if she likes it.) “then fuck her well” (this doesn’t need to be said) “THEN ghost her” (this is inconsiderate behavior and sets off alarm bells - any girl with an ounce of self esteem will be confused if you’re a player at best, and decide y…
