147	I feel like there is an unwritten rule in society that men are expected to listen to their wives / girlfriends and be obedient to them. Nobody wants to talk about this though and some people even think it's misogynistic to bring it up. Completely agree. A lot of these bullshit double standards are from a time when gender roles were common. During those times, women did not hold jobs (was not a part of their gender role) and so men were expected to ‘take care’ of them.
