Oh man this sounds exactly like my last (EVER) serious relationship, including the eye fucking other dudes in front of me. I feel your pain completely man. It certainly takes a while to heal after something like this.

Nursing homes? When people get to that sort of age, regardless of whether they're married or not, if they're incapable of looking after themselves they're usually put in a home anyway.

Of course there are, but I'm not gonna waste my time looking for a perfect relationship when I can spend my time and money on myself without any of the risks. In terms of happy relationships, in my entire adult life, I only know of 1 couple who are still happy together. Everyone else has divorced, one partner has cheated but they stayed married or they are still married but miserable together (staying together for the kids). I don't exactly have the positive relationship examples to motivate me …

Shower every morning or night. Keep your facial hair well trimmed and shaped. Look after your body hair - no-one likes a hairy back or nostrils. Keep your hair well maintained with regular trips to the barber. Wear clothes that fit well and don't have holes in them. Keep in shape - regular exercise, weight lifting and a good diet. And by all the gods, keep your teeth brushed and healthy!

I'm sure most sensible men would still resist because the divorce rape would be immense after that. This is just generalising though

I actually disagree. I've been in relationships and had plenty of attractive women make advances towards me and I turned them down because I had a beautiful and smart girlfriend who loved me, why would I give that up for a quick lay? Those woman couldn't offer me more than my girlfriend could, so why would I take them up on their offers? Women don't think the same way we do. Hypergamy is a fickle beast.

Female friends are brilliant. Many of my closest friends are women and I couldn't ask for better friends to have.

My ex girlfriend, that I lived with, dumped me 3 months after my sister committed suicide and then started sleeping with the same guy the girlfriend before her started dating after we broke up. Out of heartbreak I started dating another girl very soon after but my heart wasn't in it. Lost money, paying for the flat that she left me with and still had to see her everyday because we studied in the same classes at university. Randomly came across one of Better Bachelors videos on YouTube and it aff…

Oh I completely understand, sometimes I think to myself 'one wrong move and you're dead' but then again, I could die in the bath or crossing a road or going for a run. I'd rather die doing something I loved than spending my life avoiding risk when I'm going to die one day anyway.

As a side note, you should definitely get a motorcycle. I've ridden for a while and it's the most fun I've ever had. The absolute sense of freedom when you're sat on a bike with the open road ahead of you and no limits on where you can go is incomparable to anything else I've ever experienced.

This post is dead on the money. When we make the decision to step away from the culturally written life script, it is our duty to take the energy we were going to put into achieving those goals, and put them into something valuable for ourselves. You, as a man, must decide what new goals you're going to replace them with and work towards them. Don't fall into complacency. Like Sisyphus, keep climbing that mountain again and again or fall into stagnation and let your spirit die. A life without ch…

I thought it was excellent. Bought it last summer and read it within a day because I enjoyed it so much.

I've only got a little jack russell so he can't run far or fast and prefers to stop and sniff so sometimes I'll go for a jog alone and then walk him for a few miles later on, just depends how energetic he is.

That's fair man, for me, I need a strict routine to be productive but on the weekends or when I have time off, I do try and relax a little more 😂

I'm learning Spanish, I'd love to visit there next summer. Also in the process of losing 40lbs and got a new job while finishing my university degree to save up some money to be able to afford to start a on the list of hobbies I want to learn/do in the next few years. Been a busy few months for me!

I moved back home to be with my mum and sister when lockdown hit because I wanted to make sure they'd be okay. Living with other people is certainly stressful but I also enjoy the company, especially since I can't see any of my friends or do any of my hobbies.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
