I'm starting over. I've become complacent. I never really had it but I had enough to be somewhat aware. This month I grabbed several books and divided them into daily goals for each day this month and created a daily recurring task for each one to read (total pages)/30 for each day this month. My current list is: 12p MMSLP, 5p NMMNG, 9P WISNIFG, 10p book of pook, 3% of nine laws (kindle doesn't have traditional page numbers), and 3p of the art of war. The first 3 I've read so this is a re-read, …

Is SF the common thing in Germany? My brother is teaching SF guys. Not just US army but other countries SF units as well as part of his army position.

Volume training. As part of my routine I do 5x5 heavy bench (not necessarily volume focused), 12x5 incline bench, and 12x5 dbell pullovers. I do the 5x5 set b/c I want strength on the core lifts: bench, clean/press, squat. I like 12x5 as a volume number and the heaviness is less important than the challenge of hitting that number of reps. The pump and blood flow increase the size. If you don't want to do the gym do a shit ton of pushups. Multiple times per day as many as you can to build up to 1…

agreed. that is a standard setup for many education loans (non-private) and they were given preferential (to some degree) terms like this for many students in the US. Thanks, Obama. Private loans are different and fuck you in every way.

It depends on the effect you get from your talking. You are on auto pilot and does that lead to the desired conclusion? Are you auto pilot talking your way in to female friendships or are you auto pilot talking your way into getting laid? If the former, then it is time to be present and consciously direct your conversation. If the latter, it doesn't matter much, although being conscious and present is generally never a bad thing, if only to be more aware of ways to take it to an even higher leve…

this is good. I have a bad habit of down playing everything slightly which has an opposite effect. And what's interesting about that is that ... Your comment made me think of Dante (beige phillip) and how he always says, "and what's interesting about that..." as a filler. This grabs the attention.

What about government student loans, nelnet, those ones that are forgiven after 20 years of on time payment, no penalty for missed payments aside from the accrued interest, payments set up based on income even if it isn't enough to cover the principle, and the ability to set up forbearances at any time- still in the 5-10% range, though

add up the total you will end up paying and compare that to if you were to pay lump sum cash. It is similar to how car dealers say no interest for five years. They are getting their money. Likely the price is increased to what it would have been had they charged the right amount and lended you money at whatever rate. Nobody loans money for free. Also, they count on you missing a payment and hitting you with a 30% interest penalty that has accrued to that point. Everybody is trying to fuck you. W…

Yes. He said fuck the current law- you don't understand it. He said fuck the current leadership- You aren't the one who rules me. I do what I want and what I want is to align my path with my higher calling, which for him was his understanding of God, his father. No shit test or manipulation distracted him in the slightest.

Buy the book, "starting strength", the hard copy, and get comfortable with barbels. There is no equal in terms of the masculine feeling associated with hoisting a barbell.

This concerns me because I didn't knows about the tolerance, and what side effects? I've been anti pharma for years but I finally, at 36, decided to vice it a try. And it seriously helps with stfu and seems to help with ngaf to a lessor degree. I started vyvanse a week ago.

Thank you. The consensus is be a captain and not a faggot. That is why I am here. I lift. But I don't lead. I am working through the MRP wiki right now.

There is lots of science so do your own research but I did come across a study that suggested a second HGH pulse at 18hrs which means additional muscle growth and fat burning. I don't do it every day but I don't shy away from it if I'm feeling up to it on a particular day. I figure, pulse or not, an occasional extended fast period will be beneficial in terms of far burning and potentially along with many benefits suggested in numerous studies on fasting.

I don't believe in bulk/cut. I believe in progressively lifting heavier weights, stop worrying about the scale, and visually monitor your progress. If you are getting chubbier, eat less. I'm a fan of skipping breakfast and doing the 8/16 fast a la /r/leangains or even squeezing that window down to 5 hrs or 3 hrs. I also try to opt for meat/veggies, fewer fruits, and even fewer carbs. If you are stalling on lifts, up the protein and rest. Keep it simple.

I've told my wife when she wanted to go shorter that she would look like a lesbian and that I'm attracted to longer hair. When asked my feelings should she gain weight I tell her that i'm not attracted to fat chicks. She will do with that what she will. She is still thin and still has long hair.

Relevant post. You can pepper in some cardio but I wouldn't lessen the lifting.

Owning: I've been coasting. I've been here a long time (a year or two) and I read a few books in the beginning and saw results (NMMNG, WISNIFG, RP sidebar, MMSLP). Sex is almost non existent. I don't initiate but maybe once a month and it is shot down more often than no which I use as a reason to accept not getting laid. My workout consistency has been far from stellar. My diet has been low priority. I began a workout routine last week that I feel good about and I will remain consistent with. I …

Did she text you this and do you have evidence or was it voice? If it was txt I would baker act her... there is usually a number you can call and the psych people will pick her up at no cost. If she is legit suicidal that is the best and if she isn't then she will know now to fuck with you.

Do not Defend, Explain, Excuse, Rationalize (DEER). This is a difficult one. Read When I say no I feel guilty and it will help greatly. STFU when the argument is at its onset. I don't know if this is the right play, I suspect it isn't because I had already lost frame by entering the argument, but when my wife was saying she was thinking about leaving while in the heat of things I would say: Don't talk about it be about it. There's the door. You are in this or you are not and if you are not, then…

/r/RationalMeditation and /r/meditation are good places to start. Meditation comes in many flavors but in straightening out the mind I have found two things work for me. Stoicism: (A Guide to the Good Life, Marcus' Meditations or the Emporor's Handbook: a new translation of the meditation, and the stoic six pack). And mindfulness meditation: vipasana, or breath meditation. Here is a video I like to link but if you don't have an hour the /r/RationalMeditation sub has a link to a short txt documen…

over the past month its been several times " I think im pregnant" which I then reply well we haven't had sex in 40 days.. I don't think that's possible , hinting that its not mine pisses her off, and I get called an asshole (+points?) This month has been a very odd Period for her ( monitored with Clue app) she says it came 3 days early and lasted 15 days ( even though we did have sex on my birthday , no blood on me or the bed) dunno if this is all a ruse or not , but im taking her word for it ( …

Martial arts, specifically Shotokan Karate. I go 3x/wk. I have a collection of books on my style and others that I review from time to time. I built a makiwara, or traditional okinawan striking post, that I put in the ground in the backyard and I strike it from time to time with a goal of doing it daily. And I go to camps with other people from my style from time to time. Other hobbies include: firearms: I haven't done much with this since the baby. Wife is anti-gun big time so maybe I have let …

We're a little off topic but to address your comment, I don't really do Keto but it has come up in conversation because I prefer and opt for meat, veggies, and beans over carbs/bread/grains most of the time. If anything it is more Paleo but when it came up today I told her that I don't put a label on what I do, I just do what I prefer, which is true b/c I don't follow a specific diet I just opt for what I prefer more often than not with an allowance for not following what I prefer from time to t…

One daughter, almost 1yr old. I think I should become more educated on nutrition so I can know what is best instead of acting on belief without adequate research.

I haven't done much research on IF. It seems intuitive to me, people I respect do it, and I am experiencing results. Perhaps I should read up more on specifics. But, I'm not really interested in entering a debate with her. Leading and taking the high position in terms of knowing what is best for myself and my children is another matter. As for her being my mommy, yeah, I have let that run too long. Thank you.
