This argument is weakened by understanding mathematics, specifically Bayesian probability. As the number of times you observe a given outcome increases, so does the probability that your observations accurately reflect reality. Empirical evidence is definably meaningful in predicting future outcomes. It is never 100% reliable, but you just have to decide what is "good enough".
