This shit just happened to me in the store. Dude was old enough to be my dad. He felt it really important to leer and tell me, "god damn, you are hot." It's cool if we disagree. I don't mind having a conversation about a difference of opinion. I'm certainly not saying women should suck it up. To argue a bit with the main point. 10 isn't too late. It's hard if you want to break bad habits. It's hard for the parents too if you've developed poor or lazy parenting skills. The part that really stood out to me in that book was when they showed the abusers in their therapy group a skit they had made about domestic violence. The guys had lots of suggestions on how to make it better, like getting closer to her, cutting her off, etc. I didn't understand that abusers were cognizant of their own techniques on that level. Very eye opening.
