Thats not true. I go to bars, clubs, and pubs to drink, dance, hang out with friends. Picking up women is never my primary goal. Goes for many people that go there too. Of course there are going to be a ton of exceptions...I just thought that the "hooking up is the sole reason for bars to exist" line is exaggerating

the seminar i had to go to basically claimed that sexual harassment was anything that offends or could potentially offend somebody else in the workplace. Why are we as a society such pussies now. I mean yeah, having to sleep with your boss to keep your job is one thing..but telling an off color joke to friend is quite another.

same here. Its just as funny when you're an adult as when you're in high school. Myself and a couple of co workers (male and female) were red after the seminar trying to stifle laughter.

Not really understanding your attitude here. I've considered everything that you've said and I still don't find this to be a mens rights issue...even moreso considering another man did the majority if the abuse to the victim. protip dude..don't be so glib and smarmy in your responses to a genuine question and people may take you seriously

While I appreciate the fact that op shared this as it's a fascinating case, I don't see how this is really a men's rights issue. The victim in the case could have sought help at anytime but didn't not because he didn't think people would believe him...but because be didn't want to get them into trouble.

Wow, i'm going through something similar as the speaker here, and his statement (i don't know if true or he was just being sensationalistic) about his ex being the only woman in America to have been successfully convicted of purgery in a case like this, scares the shit out of me.

Thats the thing...my daughter isnt buying into this. She tells the officers as well as her mom the truth. There is literally no evidence of any kind of wrongdoing on my part, because there has never been an incident of wrongdoing. I basically can not see my daughter, because her mother says so.

Thats how it is here. I've had friends go through it. The police will file a report, and then you can go to court and file a withholding of visitation contempt form i think its called.

Well, cash out of pocket, i meant checks, and i have the texts to and from her, explaining why she was getting it. I didnt really intend it to be a look how good a dad i am type thing...i just knew she was struggling, and has my daughter the majority of the time, and i wanted to do what was right.

Thanks for the advice. Luckily, before i got frustrated with typing, the majority of our conversation about this was done via text message, which i showed to the CPS officer, who was chuckling at certain points while reading about how absurd this all is. I would have felt solace in this, if not for the fact that its not going to do a thing in the short term about being able to see my daughter, if her mom is hellbent on withholding visitation.
