She's jealous of the amount he still has. If he isn't hurting then she isn't doing well. She only cares how much she has relative to her ex.

Thats not what was asked. If both parents were involved in the child's life, it may have prevented a bad parent from taking advantage of their child.

Holy shit the bad police work is astounding. No Miranda rights? Any alleged confession will be thrown out and this possible killer is going to walk free. If the court does indeed rule it as an accidental death, she's gonna get the life insurance money too.

I understand your point but I think there's more to the "survivor" label. You could see victims possibly being suicidal. And if you frequent this sub then you'll see that suicide is definitely something we should be concerned about. I might even say that those who have been through severe depression deserve the "survivor" label. From a different perspective, those that are raped are often done so at the threat of or actual violence (I can't think of many situations where this isn't the case). Th…

Why is the case not simply dismissed if the wife does not appear in court?

OP simply needs to state that he is recording and that continuing to speak to him is implied consent on their part. Otherwise they can contact him by text, email, etc.

I can see that you are frustrated by the lack of what you perceive as support. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I'm really sorry that you are being harassed. Since the individual did not find anything, I'm wondering what you would have us do? Defend our name? I don't know what you mean by that. The good men and women that spread the message do it everyday. I think the best thing to do right now is just to ignore them.

No shaming tactics. I think typhonblue was referring to the Streisand effect.

i thought it was about how she a) didn't give the ring back and b) did it to "let him know it was completely over." However, after reading some of these comments, it seems that it's the misattributed geekness. More than likely, her new man built the rocket, seeing as how he's a rocket scientist, but she is being given the credit.

What? How the hell is that acceptable? He should fight it as far as the justice system in UAE will allow. He owes nothing to this woman who stole his property and made family decisions that effected his life without his consent. That's what the judge thinks, anyhow... That might be what the judge thinks, but that does not mean he just has to accept it. It is wrong and clearly unjust. If it were obviously proper, then the judge wouldn't need to appeal to his sense of generosity.

Why should I trust my parents? I can definitely see them using any money i store with them in an "emergency" but not telling me. Security box at a bank? Will the wife be entitled to anything I leave in there?

It's not about whether it's legally his right to do so or not. It's the perception of law enforcement and the judicial system that he is guilty of those crimes. If I was a lawyer (I am not), I might see a case for defamation or grounds for a restraining order. I don't have as many reports/cases/news articles to site, but there are plenty of cases where there is unequal treatment under the law based on gender. I'm sure one of the other /r/mensrights subscribers could help you out if you are looki…

I would assume that he would be charged with domestic violence and destruction of property at the least.

I think OP's point is that this is a double standard. Yes, it's not illegal, but if the situation was reversed, then the man would have been charged with something.

I actually think that it's good that Deion Sanders is making this public. I mean, he's this huge specimen of a man that is standing up for himself and showing how it should be done. He did not hit back, unlike many others, and he is following the law by filing a police report. So, yes, in a way he is special, if for no other reason than he is a celebrity football player. I mean, the first thing that comes across people's minds is that he is this big guy and he can protect himself, so he doesn't …

That's a felony. Not sure about the lying, but if you know you have HIV and have sex with someone without telling them, its a felony. Check your state's laws.

Admittedly, she is in therapy and stated she never hurt anyone. However, I can see your point. If a male pedo came out with an AMA it would undoubtedly be inundated with cries of, "OMG you should kill yourself!!!" Or something along those lines.

If you read the article, you would see that he is not challenging child support. He has paid child support and vows to continue paying $1300/mo. He is contesting the $1800/mo he has to pay as alimony to his cheating wife.

I really wish this linked to the original comic site. Doghouse Diaries is awesome. They don't have pop-up ads, just some minor ones on the bottom. Link to the Comic Strip

I totally agree. Not to mention, the idea that circumcision helps prevent the spread of AIDS is completely wrong.

you should look up female circumcision. It's pretty messed up. More than likely, she is circumcised. I was just offering a different perspective.

The reasoning, preventing the spread of AIDS, is a stupid idea. However, I could see an ulterior motive of revenge, as Africa typically still practices female circumcision. Though, I don't know what the statistics are for Zimbabwe specifically.
