Manosphere content is definitely out there, but it's actual effect is definitely overblown by feminists and mainstream media.

The problem is most gender studies research is driven through a feminist lens

It was never meant to affect any chance, it's engineered to keep the population divided and unhappy to benefit a select few.

Every subreddit has dysfunctional people, some just happen to have more dysfunctional people running the show.

That was pretty much the gist of what I said in my comment (don't remember it was on a different account 2 years ago). It was in response to a post specifically asking for why the left lost men's votes, but they clearly wanted to hear a specific answer. To be fair I knew I would likely get down voted into oblivion and shouted down, but hey the point of discussion is to challenge beliefs. They literally banned me within 5 minutes of that reply, and didn't even bother to explain what rule I broke.…

It started with pundits like Anita Sarkeesian, who didn't even play these games let alone understand context, coming out and making all these deliberately bad faith criticisms of video games to morally police gamers. Of course, you don't kick the bees nest unless you want to get stung, and that's exactly what happened. In a way I think these pundits knew exactly what they were doing, they knew they would ruffle feathers, then they got to hide behind a victim narrative. Subsequently, they created…

Don't sweat it, I got banned from MensLib for pointing out that the American Left lost men's votes because they other-ize men. The mods didn't even bother giving me an explanation. At the end of the day, remember the kind of place Reddit is, and remember the kind of person that tends to be attracted to being a Reddit mod. Many of them have nothing better going on in their lives, so they get off on pushing their views and banning faceless strangers who don't agree with them. Just because many of …

Mandate that non-private gyms either can't do women only programs, or have an equal amount of time allotted to women's and men's only programs.

It's due to systemic bias in the social sciences side of academia, especially gender studies. Social sciences departments and journals are often dominated by what I describe as "career feminists", and they have a tendency to try and silence anything that's remotely a threat to their narrative. The only way this will change is if enough people in gender studies challenge the status quo, but doing so is practically career suicide.

The study was clearly designed to confirm the hypothesis, deliberately expanded the definition of "sexual aggression" to artificially inflate the numbers. Feminists, unsurprisingly, are taking it and running with it. Many of them probably didn't even read the study, and are concluding that all of the "strategies" that men admitted to using are equated with rape.

Ah yes, the classic "moving the goalposts" fallacy. Expand the definition of sexual aggression to artificially inflate the numbers from what they really are.

This brings to mind that old joke "Women tell me that Lizzo is beautiful, but why do they get upset when I say they look like Lizzo?"

Hard for me to say since I'm more on the side of "capitalism with a social safety net" than socialist. IMO the biggest flaws are socialism needs "perfect" conditions to work, and that it has to be decided by... people, and people do not have a good track record when it comes to getting perfection. People in the system will not agree with each other on how socialism should be done right, and different factions would form. Many of these factions would be subject to purity spirals, and it's a dice …

The 2% rule comes from them citing law enforcement statistics, which they cherry picked to be completely infallible, while also saying that we shouldn't trust verdicts and findings that find no evidence of sexual assault. Which one is it then?
