This right here. People only remember your worst self, your best self, and your most recent self. No one cares enough to keep score so they just take cues from how you act about yourself.

Half of reddit and all of twitter is annoyances about people approaching. It is not obvious

To find out if you're into her beyond just a body to fuck & For her to find out if you're the type of guy she likes or not

My unpopular opinion is that guys who know the difference between correlation and causation typically get more sex. She wasn't into you and that's why she didn't bang. The romance can already be there without you necessarily seeing it

Be straight forward and earnest. If they're over 30 they've played the game and know what they want

It's about both parties being willing participants in the relationship. Guys who go hitting up club girls for the ONS sometimes get possessive because they think a ONS is the same as a relationship. It's not. You need to ask a girl to be with you in an exclusive relationship if you want that. It's reasonable to be insecure about that but note that if you have the bare minimum adulting skill and emotional temperament, you're already better than more than half of the guys "lined up"

She's not a 10/10 if she treats you that way. Always carry your own self-respect

Benefit of the doubt is that he's tempted to sleep with you anyways and you just have to wait and see. But the part that makes you sound like a psychopath is that he says "I'm afraid of sex without commitment" and you say "I just want to fuck him one more time." This implies that you'll leave after. It's a gender swapped situation where you're now the scumbag guy ready to leave after getting the fucks you want. You could always just commit and then wait for him to feel safe enough.

Hollywood's already paid you commissions for the rom-com ideas. You don't actually have to overthink things this much

Either get out there and be good enough to offset your circumstances, or fix your circumstances and then look for someone.

One time I approached a group of three girls with a simple "can I drink with you" because I was attracted to one of the girls. Her friend tried to 'guard' her until I started hitting on her instead for her personality.

Sounds reasonable. I might try it, but I guess I'm always afraid of the costs of being myself if that makes sense.

I had a similar story over the summer. The trigger was the mindset that I wasn't going to be around people who I cared about, ironically. I go to school in a different state than my home (thanks scholarships). So while at first, I thought it was going to be a bad situation, it turned out really well for me as well. I hiked, worked out, and ran. I explored and did things that were interesting to me and that felt great. Also ended up meeting and getting into a fling with someone so that helps but …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
