I'm curious about if the roles are reversed, could you pick a woman (or man if you prefer) that you would absolutely not have sex with under any circumstances? If so, can you imagine an argument I could say that would make you enthusiastic about it?

I'd actually be fine with this so long as the entire cost of birthing and raising a child in a well cared for facility, akin to private boarding school was held by the taxpayer.

I'm going to fuss you on the "it's a philosophy," as I don't think it has any formal philosophical works from the point of view of epistemology, ethics, etc. I'd say that anyone in PPD is engaging with those issues: I'm a big critic of it, but I am engaging. My negative views are that it is a way of alienating men from society and radicalising their views to the point that they perceive women as the cause of their problems; and encourages a victim mentality that further cements those views - tur…

I don't buy that any movement is immune from criticism from people not in the movement. For better or worse, movements are always critiqued by the population at large. When do we know that a movement is a good one like Suffrage, or a bad one like ISIS? It's only through criticism and discussion that we can arrive at those discussions: and, of course, those in ISIS think they're right and Suffrage in wrong. I'm happy to be proved otherwise.

The issue for me is that atheism is a broad subject with a wide and inclusive membership based around the lack of belief in an organized system of religion that has persisted for thousands of years MGTOW is a narrow, reactionary movement largely based on and in the subreddit over the last 5 or so years. However, I'm happy to clarify that most of the time when I say MGTOW I mean "MGTOW on Reddit." I think MGTOW has got a little better, fwiw. But I think it's still quite toxic, and you'd have a ha…

We'll get the fuck away from the red pill for a start. Think it's a coincidence that everyone on that forum struggles to implement the tactics to get laid? Meeting anyone requires an investment of resources: time, effort, going out etc. We all learn from our mistakes, we all improve our lives through work and trying hard. Romance (and friendship) is a social enterprise: make an effort with social skills and reap the benefits. Don't fall for the red pill's persuasive con that there's a short cut …

If once they graduate they don't become anything like the main nexus of the community, and are so wholly changed that they don't reflect what the red pill is represented as in its most public facing forum - then surely they aren't red pill any more. "Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck." If the red pill is full of bad eggs, but anyone red pill is not a bad egg: either no one is red pill, or red pill isn't what it says it is. Now that's fine for me because I believe red pill is exactly what the user base of the red pill is: an excuse to sell books/podcasts or get likes/upvotes; or a recruiting ground for extremism for people with an agenda or grudge.

I'm 35 next week. Happily married, so are a few of my friends, the rest of them in LTRs they've been in for 5+ years. We all talk regularly and despite a few common issues (he scraped the car door! She broke my favorite mug in the dishwasher!) they're all in for the long haul. Even my kinky / poly friends that are in 3+ people relationships seem to be very stable. In the US, pursuant to i795 and i485 you are unable to do any (including voluntary!) work, or leave the country, until you obtain a green card. There are three stages: i795 (work permit), i485 (adjustment of status), and I can't remember the third reference number (removal of restrictions). I married an American. It costs thousands of dollars (about a thousand dollars a month for about 4/5 months, every month), hundreds of hours of complicated paperwork, on top of interviews designed to investigate your relationship. When they do finally arrive, after a year's separation in your own countries, you have to financially support them while they are legally forbidden to work for up to two years. Again, I couldn't care less about guys who don't get it. But you're posting on a discussion/debate sub, the purpose of which is to have debates about the topics we are discussing? You can't complain when people raise topics that aren't strictly with your scope. I was interested in the seeming lack of mechanisms for politically correct men to be guided by other men if they are fundamentally misaligned. You've just given me a thesaurus look-up of the word, literally a copy-paste of the info box on google from typing it in. The origins and continued use of "politically correct" are more complex than that, as is the inference when using the term. I'm not very masculine and I'm happily married. You don't have to tell me. However your main issue is "that is PC." Political correctness is a perjorative term that indicates the speaker is not being sincere and only wording things that way for political end. The secondary issue is that there is no upper limit to perceived masculinity. Tell me h…

Political correctness is whereby one uses careful language / behavior to ensure the prevention of offense to certain parties. It's a pejorative term used to imply the user is being overly careful and/or evasive when talking about certain topics because the user assumes they are hiding a lack of knowledge or experience behind their rhetoric. In this case, you are arguing that psychology is an industry fraught with this behavior, and so too is climate change. Implying that the culture of politics …

You're asking a group of people who believe women never mature past the age of 10, and also believe that fear, manipulation and dishonesty are the best ways to get women into bed if they believe that feminism is out to prevent them getting their rocks off. Right, so we can only have a conversation about hetero couples with one kink and the porn made about them but have to completely ignore my points about switching, cuckqueaning, being bi, having more than one fetish or fetishes existing for a long time. Just like how the Romans did nothing for us if you ignore the aqueduct, education, roads, policing and public safety, literacy rates...
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/18 03:40 PM

Neither do all hetero relationships, which is what the post is about. However, the post ignores them at its peril, as does all of red pill writing: because once you have to start ignoring facts to make your philosophy work, it becomes applicable only in more and more niche situations until you're in a "what have the Romans ever done for us?" Situation.

This post completely ignores bi men and women, gay men and women, and trans people. I also assume the author is not involved in the kink community because it also ignores "switch" couples (who are both sub and dom depending on how you feel, sometimes even in the same play session), and those who describe themselves as poly, evolving or just "into kink," (IE they like kink, but are neither sub nor dom). It also ignores that people who have these fetishes may have A) a vanilla relationship as well…

The blue pill is a term that encompasses everyone who doesn't subscribe to the red pill: most people. The red pill is a belief system like healing crystals: it has no basis in science and requires adherents to believe in a form of mysticism that describes the world as a dichotomy between men and women, alpha and beta, virginal and promiscuous. It describes a highly impractical and imaginary system of codified rules and social interactions in order to "short-circuit" people's relationships. Like …

Making someone laugh could be attractive. However, making someone laugh does not mean they fancy you. You could make someone cry laughing and they wouldn't be the slightest bit interested in you. There is no way to completely codify human behaviour, no rule set to win someone over. People who get on probably laugh with either other more, whether friends, family, coworkers or romantic interests (or other). Getting on well with someone is a good sign of interest, but if you don't fancy them, you d…

So you do have limits. But you're expecting women to be satisfied that they can date middle aged men who send them "hay Bebe show bobs milk n Vagner" on okcupid? And that shows somehow that dating is a market economy and women are winning?

Well that hasn't solved the issue that I can't show you a woman at any point because that's not how it works. However, just as a for-example, would you date a woman in prison? The main issue is that no one outside of the Reddit manosphere views dating as a market. There's absolutely no way to prove it either way definitively, but I know a shit ton of attractive girls who are long term single. Because it's not about alcohol consumption, is it? If this conversation were strictly about alcohol consumption we'd be like "this many milligrams equals this much impairment." I think it's sketchy that you are looking for my validation in some way to say this thing about consent is not okay, it's like you're trying to find the tiniest, most miniscule detail you can be right about so you can satisfy some urge to prove people who want consensual and happy sex wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/17 07:54 PM

Well, like I keep saying, if you genuinely think you're incapable of not telling the difference between consent or not, that actually seems like a good idea to me and I'd much rather you kept away from areas that could be a danger to you committing a crime.

Phew! Ok, to answer your question: I think it's obvious when someone is too drunk to consent, and if there's a person who doesn't find it easy to tell when someone can't consent, I would be more comfortable with them avoiding people who are drunk than the other option: to encourage people who can't tell what consent is to have sex with people who they aren't sure are consenting. Yeah, if you can't infer context and appropriate levels of behaviour from that simple document, I don't think you should be trusted to have sex based on context clues alone, my man. What? i believe feelings are real, the red pill doesn't. Therefore the red pill prescribes using people (women) who, in the RP view, don't feel emotions (but pretend they do) in order to get sex. It's seen as justified in a RP world because their feelings aren't real they're just trying to get beta bux, all feelings are a shit test (ie not real). So, too, it says, men's feelings aren't real either: they are trying to get the best woman, women are trying to get the best man. It's a market economy…

Eh, I'm just chipping in on my phone killing time for a few minutes so don't have the time right now to go sourcing comments, but it's not a strawman to say the RP recommends "dread game," as a method to exploit people's feelings, and regularly dissuades men from engaging in romantic, monogamous relationships, not because it's their choice, but because it is their belief all humans are like that

You're in a sub designated for discussing the red pill, if your opinion is "we can say what we want" [including that violence against women is an acceptable thing to say] you, to not expect, in a sub that exists only to debate that, someone to debate it, is a touch naive. Also, I don't think it's unreasonable of me to say, "the people who are endorsed by this sub said this, therefore the sub endorses it." Especially when the sub actually endorses it (with flair and upvotes).

I don't necessarily organise things in a single list as to what is bad-to-worse and I don't think many people do. But for the sake of argument, because I'm curious as to what your end point is, yes I think forced amputation of someone's entire genitalia is worse than being punched, which is worse than performing circumcision on babies.

I don't see how it's relevant to a discussion on the US governments decisions, though. I don't think anyone should be circumcised at birth unless it's a medical necessity, fwiw. I believe it should be an elective procedure in adulthood if for religious reasons.

One issue is I have with red pill overall is that although this type of person may exist, someone that is like that is so few and far between, and relies entirely on the post author's interpretation of that person. What if the author of this post views the "alpha" in such a way, but many other people don't view the person that way, nor does the "alpha" view himself that way. The only thing we know for certain from this post is how the author sees alphas.

Just because you can't have sex whenever you want doesn't prove that all humans have evolved to understand sex exclusively in relation to men wanting sex with any woman and women always being the gatekeeper. I'm saying that we can't with any certainty decipher the output of instinctual feelings. For example, feeling "broody," isn't the same as feeling "horny." And if you felt either of those things whilst in a meeting with your boss: you wouldn't run out and to have a baby, you'd simply ignore t…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/17 06:06 AM

My thought is that if a person is not aware of this unconscious desire to have babies, and it only manifests as a desire to have sex, it's unknowable whether it's a desire to have babies or just to have sex, and as it manifests as a desire for sex: Occam's razor suggests we should assume it's only that. I'm not saying that drive doesn't exist to secure procreation, but I'm saying that the conscious affect of the pre-conscious event isn't related to childbirth.

I guess I don't believe that. To me, many people ascribe a lot to instinct that isn't actually instinct. Instincts to me are stuff like "flinch from pain, get thirsty, get scared of the dark, get horny." They aren't "no pain no gain, drink coffee, enjoy horror films, always desire procreation." Those are the social effects of society interacting with our instincts, and society can dictate different things. There's still a balance of nature and nurture, I'm more talking about how a response to stimulus is shaped by the mind before being passed into conscious action.

Yes, I understand, I was referring to the post-hoc reaction to any stimuli in the pre- and sub-conscious minds respectively, when I say language I mean any interpretation of stimulus, external or internal (post-conscious).
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/17 06:37 PM
1

You can't just say it's common sense and pretend you've won. To me it's common sense that we don't just slavishly follow a model of constant reproduction because externally it's not true: people don't just have sex for babies, but also internally it defeats itself because if it's an u irrepressible instinct then it can't be denied, so the moment one person has sex and doesn't have a baby the whole concept of the certainty of instinct is destroyed. You can't hold your breath until you die, that's…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/17 06:01 PM
1

We disagree on definitions of consciousness I'm afraid. I'm more of a language-and-meaning-shapes-stimulus-response type. For me a major event triggers pre-conscious relationships and evokes a response, not that unconscious instructions are hard-coded to dictate behaviour. For me, language and meaning goes all the way down to the core of being.

Influences but doesn't dictate. It influences both men and women to have sex. It doesn't influence women to deliberately withhold sex from men to protect their eggs. My body hasn't evolved to tell when contraceptives are involved, but my brain has. I won't have sex with anyone unprotected. Sometimes condoms break. When that happened we got a morning after pill, not a baby. If our behaviour was dictated by babies as you say; we wouldn't have bothered with contraception in the first place. Are you…

But if I don't know them, and you don't know them and no one else chips any in, we can't say it's an opinion based on any facts: it's just something you thought of, which renders the whole concept irrelevant.

"According to biology women are the gate keepers." Nope. According to you they are. According to biology there's no such thing as "gate-keeping." That's a social concept. Even if it is true of all humans (I don't think it's true of even a significant minority) it's still not a biological thing: biology dictates we have to absorb nutrients from food, it doesn't tell us to prefer apples over oranges.

I don't see how biology affects it at all. There is no hard-coded biological imperative to have as many children as possible. If you don't have a child you don't die, many people don't have children and do fine. You have to allow for there to be more than two applicants and more than one job for the premise to make any sense. Unless you're claiming that all jobs go to women, which is equally nonsense

Well, I mean that's your choice, but I value fun, enjoyable relationships, and would break up with someone I didn't enjoy being around. I often do more with people I date than just have sex with them though. You may think that's wrong, but that's the blue/red divide.

For that to be true you'd have to convince me that 0 people have sex unless they follow the red pill, but the majority of people in the world have sex, and the majority of people in the world aren't red pill.

I feel like it's no one's responsibility but your own to not be bitter, angry and lash out. If you do that, then you are responsible for not getting a gf. Would you date a woman that was bitter, angry and lashed out? And if you wouldn't, would you blame yourself, or her? I also feel like I know plenty of people who aren't complete bell ends that are happily married, plenty who have regular casual sex. Also, it's my opinion that most women, if asked, disagree with you, and I think their behaviour…

However, if there were also 299 other applicants with a M/F spread of 60/40, plus the department already has 10 men employed, you could argue it's irrelevant as Bob could have applied earlier, wait to apply next time, and he's also applying at 13 other jobs and gets interviews at 5 other places that don't have that policy… If you restrict your view to one person, of course it's going to look like their losing out. Only if he was given the job and then it was taken away. If he never gets the job, he never has the job, he never loses the job, if he hasn't lost the job, he hasn't lost out. Plus, I've been part of a hiring process: for the most part you get a whole host, dozens if not hundreds, of applications for a job, all of which are people applying for dozens of jobs themselves. This would be an issue if there was only one job and two applicants. But if there are 50 new jobs a week, and 500 people applyi…

Then, and this is an understatement, we have fundamental beliefs that differ too much for us to discuss it. I can never accept your opinion that half the world can never be as "good"/"mature"/"sensible" as men, because it doesn't match up to my life's experience, and I view that in itself as an immature/childish statement and thus hypocritical. Well, taking your job interview as a metaphor: if someone is really pleasant in a job interview, but doesn't have the qualifications, I won't be interested. If someone is charming, pleasant, skilled and qualified, but so are 50 of the other applicants, and there's one person who really sticks out above all the rest, I won't be interested in the others. Those are some rights that women have, but how are they more than men, who counted? In what country, according to which laws? If you're referring to "human rights," which treatise? Or do you mean across the globe? Or in your local area? Surely it makes as much sense to say, "men have more rights than women, it wouldn't hurt them to lose a few." But I won't because "losing rights," doesn't make sense, I also know that "rights" isn't a zero-sum game. If someone is specified 2,000 rights, but their…

"At the expense of men" Gender equal pay and representation is only at the expense of men if you believe that men deserve those benefits before they have them and women don't. If a woman gets a job a man could have, the man doesn't lose out (objectively), because he never had it in the first place. He loses out subjectively because he thinks he should've had it. Logically it's like me imagining I should've won the lottery and then someone else winning it: how dare they insult me like this!

It's contradictory because either men and women are different, or they are the same, but women engage in so-called "hypergamy" and men in so-called "plate spinning," which are the same, and because red pill is about sleeping with lots of women but women not sleeping with lots of men. I think your post reads as that's what you would desire as a red pill man, however I really don't think that is the case. In a worldview that claims that people can't keep their instinctual behaviours in check why would someone keep their instinctual behaviours in check? If a RPW can choose to be RP or not, then anyone can choose to be RP or not, and the RP is an opinion of a discrete number of people, and not an accurate guide to human behaviour as it claims.

We'll have to disagree as to whether learning about the history of something in class necessarily influences your the position you yourself take. Because humanism addresses different issues - often those surrounding structures to do with end-of-life, religion and LGBT issues. It doesn't have to, but practically that's what it mostly does. And egalitarianism favours ALL people. It does not promote equality in a proactive sense but is a system of thought that says that all people are of equal worth. Feminism is the practical side of egalitarianism in that it is addressing the structures that will make egalitarianism eventually possible.

I am not reading an entire thesis just because you told me to. You could be trolling. Either demonstrate it's usefulness or else it's a de-railing tactic to unfairly skew the argument. It'd be like me encoding my reply in a cypher and saying you're wrong but you just can't crack the cypher to find out why.

Well. Your basing your judgement on IQ - which is about as scientific as a buzz feed quiz, and the rest of your basis for opposing equal rights is equally as unscientific. So it comes down to a matter of opinion, you think that based on your subjective thoughts - you should be treated better than someone with different sex organs. Why should you be treated better? Because you think you should be. Why shouldn't others be treated the same as you? Because you think so. You are a member of the group…

Would you prefer they advocated the rights of women by bringing men down? That sounds a lot worse. Isn't it better to advocate the rights of women by improving the rights of women by focusing on the rights of women? If two parties: A and B are unequal, you can either raise B to be level with A, or you can lower A to be level with B. If the measure you use to raise or lower is quality of life and access to human rights, is it not better to focus on the lower party and raising them up - thus impro…

I don't think there's any evidence of that - I read through their press releases and it doesn't seem that way at all. That's sex not gender . And as I said, it's a spectrum. Sex drive is not controlled entire by testosterone - there are other factors (such as environment, mood, habit, relationship status, etc). Then each body reacts to chemical stimulus differently: so the same amount of testosterone could have different effects on different people.

That there's no distinct division between men and women's sex drives, and it's a slow, blurred, almost indistinguishable trend that's a condition of being HUMAN and not of which gender you identify as, or which sex organs you have.

There's no scientific evidence for BP/RP at all, from what I've read (happy to be proved wrong - but blogs /"some guy said" no good) - studies and research shows that the biological difference affecting approach to sex and that being hard wired is inconclusive AT BEST. Saying everything is entirely instinctual is equally as unhelpful. Issue is, humans have very little hardwired instincts that we can't over-come. Some that do exist are: pain, eye-watering, hunger, need to excrete. But these are far removed from "feeling ashamed to enjoy hook ups."

Most of the questions you ask can be easily put down to social issues: virginity has been literally worshipped and enshrined (Christianity) for over a thousand years, and a lot of our history (marriage) is tied up with being obsessed with a woman's virginity. Well, then you are saying they are different. If a bluepiller shouldn't criticise you for being unoriginal, then you are saying it IS original. If it IS original then it's not FWB. The point of TRP, according to the side bar, is to instil a sense of longing in a woman, making you the centre of her world so in a way she "serves" you, many TRP men advise putting the person into a state of dread that you will leave her for someone else (also in side bar).
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/14 05:31 PM

Aren't those two different things? A spinning plate implies multiple partners, a FWB may not necessarily imply that. Doesn't a spinning plate also imply leading a girl on to believe there might be a relationship, but a FWB imply there is not relationship?

That may be what happens when people use it in a certain way, but there's nothing in the phase itself to imply that. Although previously an epithet - it's now considered standard practice to use the correct political forms of address in most forms of communication. Especially in situations like this - politely conversing with strangers. Should be no big deal to ask for people to not use deliberately racist or sexist language in conversation.

I thought TRP was about the REAL truth and seeing things how they REALLY are? If you're telling me men and women are naturally promiscuous both and that's how things REALLY are - and you choose to shame women for it and not men then you're actually working your hardest against the "truth" of nature. My use of "slut" was in inverted commas - a common rhetorical device. Men have been shamed for sexual promiscuity in the past - and still continue to be. In fact the "men sleep around, women don't" thing massively contributes towards toxic masculinity and performance anxiety that affects lots of men. If you can't prove it how do you know it happens? If you can't prove it you just think it happens. If you just think it happens you could be wrong. You could be wrong unless you can prove it. You can't. If you haven't seen it on RP just do a search on BP for the word "rape" TRP specifically does not care for consent. YOU might, but TRP has this thing about LMR, negging, dread game, kino... All of which are based around the idea of tricking a woman to have sex with you against her will. If you do…

I think you've mis-understood that. She's saying that because he cheated there was a lot of important information she needed about her health - physically, emotionally and mentally that she didn't have. Thus she thought she was consenting to X, when actually Y was what was happening. And by not telling her, he put her in a situation she wouldn't have consented to HAD SHE KNOWN. On another branch of this discussion I mentioned how I wrote at the start of this thread that part of the problem is people picking tiny insignificant arguments and pretending that's the WHOLE deal. What you're doing is quite close to that. Get me to admit that it wouldn't be bad if a married couple were trying something new after many years and it didn't work out entirely and BOOM my original point about people supporting rapists more than victims is supposed to evaporate?

It's more that TBP generally thinks TRP is part of rape-culture. There are some very worrying comments made on TRP, often. See TBP for details. A rape culture is one that supports the defending of material based on the assumption that rape is funny or ok under some circumstances. For the record, I think it's neither. A rape culture will go very far to defend rape jokes - because why shouldn't people be allowed to joke about anything? Sure there may not be a law about it - but why go so far to de…

Or a guy having 100 different ones. Sure the risk is increased - but think about how many people you've caught diseases off without having sex with them. No, your point at the top of this comment chain was that sex does have a noticeable effect on the appearance of the vulva. Your point was not that skin in general is affected by stretching. EDIT: aha! And I've thought of an example that proves you wrong: flesh tunnels in ears. Even though extreme ones may never heal, they still diminish in size if not permanently held open. Smaller ones heal with no trace. As do all piercings. As does the scars I've had from major surgery.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/14 09:05 PM

If this was the case you'd need to lube the mons pubis. The vagina and vulva are equally as lubricated as the penis and therefore comparable in this regard. Even where body parts are touching during sex usually sweat will prevent major chafing.

Enthusiastic consent: That was the blowjob, right? before the blowjob occurs - in which case your point is irrelevant. No, you simply missed it. I missed the point? As far as I understand it you are saying: "If you are getting a blowjob, that's a fair indicator that someone wants to have sex with you." I am saying "Yes, but the point of consent about which we are talking occurs before any sexual acts are undertaken: consent before sex necessarily means receiving consent before any sexual acts, i…

I think context is key. Asking "will you go down on me?" isn't great. However, consider the opposite: "I really don't want them to touch me and they are." The red pill encourages unwanted touching (kino) and promotes breaking barriers around this. (LMR) Someone saying "I'm not into this" and then you doing it anyway is pretty low. Whether it's sex or not. "Please don't play that music at my party" "I'LL DO WHAT I WANT" etc
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/14 08:57 PM

I think you're deliberately mis-understanding. The point at which consent happens is a) before the blowjob occurs in which case your point is irrelevant. or b) is withdrawn after the blowjob "Actually, I don't want to do this any more" "You HAVE to." I don't see any logical defence of that. It can be a man or woman speaking in either case: homo- or hetero-sexual, too (and anything else)

Lolz. My ex was a philosopher and psychotherapist. Although I didn't study it formally I have a pretty strong grasp on it. Much more than you do! Stoicism has nothing to do with TRP being my first clue. You've made the common mistake that stoicism relates to the modern understanding of the word "stoic" being my second.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/14 12:32 AM

No. Do ALL women give birth? Also, you obviously don't understand the difference between sex and gender: which is pretty basic, so I doubt we can have a meaningful conversation. It's like trying to argue philosophy with someone who doesn't understand determinism.

That doesn't make any sense. Genders don't produce anything, gender is an adjectival term.

You're the only one shaming here. I said what I was: you're the one who projected it was me saying it was better. I just described myself and you saw it as a threat. Which is pretty ironic. The ultimate in being male begins and ends in a Y chromosome and having a penis. People who do the things you mentioned may have a penis, but if you said "there is a human: they work as a fire fighter, they do weight training, they are very competitive, they dislike art students, coffee and cycling: from this…

God no! The stoics believed in a study of formal logic and maintaining a consistency with it. The whole hypergamy thing is filled with internal logical inconsistencies, as is female solipsism. Also, as they believed in following formal logic, they would totally not be down with how TRP lets anyone decide what the red pill is to them: they would demand scrutiny of everything until a logical truth is found. They'd certainly hate the moderation policy of banning dissenters in your home sub. Also, T…

Carry on with my instead. I AM successful in business and women (although I don't care for the term "successful with women" - but I've had a lot of sex and have had long lasting and fulfilling relationships too) and very blue pill and have published journalistic articles in support of feminism. I'm also the furthest thing from an alpha male. Female posts tend to be lengthy, overly ponderous, and dwell on one specific point far too long to be intellectually rewarding. You prefer short, ill-thought out blasts of unrelated points that you find satisfying? So basically off-topic ego-boosts that tell you you're right? Perhaps something along the lines of a short sentence that makes no sense and has nothing to do with the topic in hand, but strokes your ego and confirms your biases? Perhaps something like: Female posts tend to be lengthy,…

That's what I've been saying. In terms of the "best" artist - there is no metric. So when you say that men are better than women that's just, like, your opinion dude. But it's nonsense because you're the one introducing the better/best metric to a system where one doesn't belong. So what you are saying is that you believe men are better because they are men. Can you see why that's sexism?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/14 02:37 PM

But you were just arguing that men were better at music because they sold more!

This is the issue with your argument, you seek to quantify the artistic experience - there is no artistic a appreciation without bias. Are you saying that MJ is the artist you most appreciate because he's the best selling? And if, say, Bieber outsold him you'd then disregard Jackson and claim Justin as your new favourite? That's pretty weird, man. My favourite art is a mix of things I appreciate due to their construction, their method, their aesthetics, their place in my life, my mood and opinio…

The problem with this thread is that a lot of people, such as yourself have responded with generic, Empty platitudes about the red pill and nearly no one has described specifically how it works, why it works and how it's different from a mix of fittit and seddit. I am beginning to believe that no-one - red or blue pill - actually knows what it means.

Never mind that those numbers are really flawed and based only on confirmed sold physical units in certain developed countries through certain approved channels and don't take into account radio, internet, clubs, cover versions and live performances... Iit's 4 in 10, 7.5 in 20. In terms of best-selling physical units in developed counties. That's not "completely wrong" at all. If you stand on my post you can't even see "wrong"on a clear day. My post is so far from "wrong" that "right" has to pay extra for mail to get there. At the time of Mozart's sister the church was the biggest sponsor of music. Have a think about how that may have affected the career of women in music at the time. I'll give you a clue: number of women bishops circa 2014.

I didn't say any of that. I said, "why divide psychological differences only along gender/sex lines, and not along race, class, culture, country, religious etc lines?" Can you tell me how two men from different cultures/classes/religions will be more different physiologically than a man and woman? Sure. I think that most people here aren't an expert on it, and for the most part TBP is reactionary and not a movement in and of itself: therefore when you say, "TBP is concerned with ... what?" it doesn't quite follow. What is defined as "blue pill" is mostly a rejection of what TRP proposes. Therefore there is no blue pill definition of anything. It may be that men and women have de facto psychological differences, but the causes of this may not be physical bodies. Or rather, it might be down to di…

Yes, things have changed (we'll disagree on "ruined") although WW1&2 probably were more of a catalyst, and the rise and growth of the middle classes, the abolition of the aristocracy (for the most part), the boom of manufacture and technology in the 20th century, and the concept of careers and the modern concept of the "job" as opposed to "vocation." That and the rise of available childcare, medicine, schooling and flexible or part-time work have more rapidly changed the role of women in society…

No, no. I just can't work out why if your goal is to earn money, you'd turn to feminism. It doesn't require a subscription and it used to be extremely unpopular.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/14 05:09 PM
2

It's interesting that starts with "return" To gender roles of the past: I always assumed TRP was about creating a new gender role that hadn't previously existed for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/14 05:08 PM
2

Hm. I take issue with a number of things, E.g. "Feminism let women..." Indicates that women did not create or control feminism. Either women created feminism in order to be able to do that, or they are controlled by feminism. I'd accept an answer along the lines that some women created feminism to affect other women that aren't themselves, but I can't see any evidence of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/14 05:04 PM

Would you be willing to accept that since the dawn of contraception those things can / will / have changed? Especially if those behaviours have evolved and changed over time, does that not indicate they will continue to change (like language?)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/14 05:02 PM

So are you saying the red pill is mostly concerned with reproduction? Because the impression I get is that it's very against men having families. I also get the impression that TRP dislikes the natural order of things and attempts to subvert it?

Fully admit to ignorance and not ashamed (I'm mostly ignorant of how pig farming, cancer research and motor engines work, too although I have the gist). Happy to be informed. I would care to know what these strategies are. I would also respectfully refute that feminism's central aim is to deny divergent sexual strategy - some feminists may do that, but I haven't seen anything that suggests that's part of feminism's goal per se. Is there anything that predates TRP significantly that identifies these strategies?

Do you mean like the advertising revenue of Jezebel? Is that not a "problem" with all journalism, not just journalism whose message you disagree with? Eg- pick a news source you like, they earn money too. More probably.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/14 07:12 PM

I don't understand how feminism correlates exactly to financial gain. At least without being very inefficient. Surely ForEx or property or manufacturing would be a better investment for time and resources if the aim was money?

Ha. I know plenty of older male couples who don't really have sex any more. Just having a snappy title doesn't change anything. Just because one person (who you claim not to care about, despite them being the lynchpin of your argument) came up with a snappy title based on a flawed study does not make it fact. If I coined a snappy phrase like "All Red Pillers Are Lonely Flour Millers" does that make TRP about grinding wheat on your own?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/13 02:53 PM
10

Sure. I mean you're talking to a guy who used to run a city-wide network of support groups for LGBTQ people under 21 - I wouldn't say I'm dehumanising anyone here. I think the issue you're referring to affects all kinds of couples (cf /r/deadbedrooms) - in fact a close friend of mine and his girlfriend had one for three years before they broke up (anecdotal, but yknow) I don't think it affects every lesbian couple though (but I can ring a few and ask!). Yes. It was coined in the 80s by Pepper Schwartz in response to a survey she undertook for a book - contradicting Kinsey's study and it's mostly disputed because it considers sex without a penis or penis substitute as no sex. Thus lesbians, by Schwartz's definition, have pretty much no sex. If you include other definitions of sex (anything other than using a fake penis) - it was found there is little to no difference between gay female and any other coupling of people in terms of frequency of se…

For balance - there's also the type of relationship where no one is withholding sex - just it's mot happening. And these can run the full gamut of good and bad - what if neither partner cares about sex all that much but is in it for the companionship? Also, I'd be interested to see how TRP applies this to homosexual relationships - who does the with-holding then?

It's probably a case-by-case basis. If the person you're going to take home can't consent - don't force them to. It's fairly simple. Just as some RPers believe feminists control the WHO and the World Bank, so too do some BPers have some controversial opinions that I would disagree with. However, BP does not have the concept of LMR, and I think overcoming "LMR" is at varying degrees nasty, creepy, narcissistic, psychopathic and vindictive. If you belong to an ideology that suggests that over-comi…

Not sure where your massive jump comes from in the second paragraph. It seems like you are saying that someone has told you it's a rule/law that you can't sleep with a drunk person - source? Or if you simply believe you shouldn't - lots of people have drunk sex but it's always been clear to me ("do you want to come back to mine?" "Yes") that they're totally into it. Wait, so your point is that only women care about things, and to men life is an unemotional, equivocated existence? If you truly are as ascetic and stoic as this - why even bother to have sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/13 10:09 PM
27

You wouldn't equate "extreme ego-centric ism" and "only caring about yourself?" In your second point you say that men think both genders have different motives, and in the second that women think men and women's motives are identical, correct? Well then which is to be believed? How will we know whether what men and women want is the same, or different. Are you male? If so then you must believe men and women have different motives - but does that mean you believe all men's motives are the same?

PART SIX NO-ONE is reading this far, so I'm just going to say, please skim-read to the parts below where he says he is against contraception, and advocates domestic violence. Highlighted in bold. I personally blame the average woman’s complete disconnect from reality, owing in part to two realities of sex and biology. Women are the gatekeepers of sex; exempting rape, sex never happens unless the woman wants it to happen. Western dating and marriage culture is organized around this reality; in mo…

I'm just going to point out the contradictions in the following paragraphs in a brief a way as possible: Another example of female solipsism can be found in this post from the blog Gucci Little Piggy, “From the Mouths of Babes”: Watching a girl teach another girl how to go about picking up a guy is like watching two retarded kids teach each other…

PART FOUR Sexual politics, like all politics, is about gaining the upper hand. These rules are intended to help women extract as much out of men as possible with minimal effort, which is fair enough, but they don’t work because they don’t take into account the different criteria by which men and women evaluate prospective mates. If being solipsistic is bad, and being the opposite is also bad AND sexual politics is all about gaining the upper hand (I presume this is the third way - not trying to …

PART THREE The raging solipsism of the American female mind is most obvious when it comes to the realm of sexual attraction. Virtually all women in the U.S. suffer from the delusion that men find the same qualities attractive in them that they find in men.
