Kill myselfWhen you’re a 95-year-old man, you’ll look back at this as the end of THAT PARTICULAR PART of your life and the beginning of a different part. It doesn’t have to be a better or worse transition; it’s just…different. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/02/24 03:37 AM
Kill myselfThis. A big thing for me was learning not to think about what MIGHT have been. When we were married, I used to imagine what our life might look like after I retire, etc. But that was just me imagining the fantasy that we all grow up seeing on TV or movies. I don’t know what’s next anymore than I really did before, and that’s okay. It’s kind of interesting, actually, and I’m looking forward to the journey ahead. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/02/24 03:34 AM
The light switch affect..Sometimes there is no logic whatsoever. Something changed in her mind for whatever reason and the switch doesn’t flip back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/02/24 06:30 PM
The light switch affect..I asked my stbxw about our marriage vows 20 years ago. I said, “Blah, blah, ‘til death do us part…did that mean nothing to you?” Her response: “It did at the time.” | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/02/24 06:28 PM
Thought I Was Doing The Right ThingsI’ve had similar thoughts about my family and upbringing and wondering if it was rare. My STBXW decided I was the cause of all of her unhappiness — though I don’t know how. She’d say anything to justify it to herself. WHAT she says almost doesn’t even matter. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/08/23 02:40 AM
Ex wife wants to meet up for a beer and talksShe’s more interested in him now that she sees another woman is interested. It’s classic bullshit. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/08/23 05:06 AM
Wife says she has “Outgrown our Marriage”Yup. Same here. Narcissist AND midlife crisis. I’d known her 23 years and had no idea she could be so cruel until she brought up divorce. It’s all about making herself feel better for being a terrible person. She may never realize it herself, or admit to it, but that’s not important. Karma will come for her. Take care of yourself and avoid her as much as possible. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/08/23 06:08 AM
Wife says she has “Outgrown our Marriage”My soon-to-be ex is just like this. She kept a silent ledger of petty disagreements and used that to justify completely giving up for reasons she “can’t” explain. Maybe it’s an affair; maybe not. But she just showed you who she REALLY is. Just be glad it’s only 7 years. Mine was at 19. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/08/23 06:00 AM
