Its often the other way around. Mothers are financially incentivized to not stay with the father.

It's posts like these that make me relieved in a way that I am not going crazy. I have had this experience too. People often say that these people are rare and mostly exist online and its not as bad as it seems. I have not found this to be the case however. I feel like every women I know has been poisoned by this ideology...I am in blue state though, so maybe its better elsewhere.

Its quite frustrating since I know I would be the better parent if I had custody of my daughter. Yet I have to sit here, a mile away from my daughter, while she is gate-kept from me and my parenting abilities. Im stuck being just a babysitter while sending a large portion of my money to the mother who uses it to pay off her own debt. She is dragging the whole family unit down because she is inept. Im scared how this will effect her in the future.

Thanks for your comment and your advice. I am pretty much doing everything you said besides getting in touch with CPS. No way is she allowed in my house anymore. I also made the mistake of having "family time" occasionally and going out to dinner with her and our daughter, etc. She was basically watching for me to make any little mistake to use against me. I have learned the "grey rock" technique too, although I still need some practice. The problem with using a professional to have all of our c…

Seriously, your daughter's only chance of having a positive upbringing may be having you as a parent, considering how abusive her mother is towards others. That violence will be one day be directed at her daughter, without a doubt This is my biggest concern and biggest weight on my shoulder's right now, but I am trying to do everything I can. I'm doing my best.

It's not physically violent, but it sure is some type of "violent". Sometimes I think I'd rather just take a quick punch to the face than hear the verbal abuse she has spewed at me. I know which injury would heal faster, thats for sure. She's left me with trauma on many levels. It's definitely common and yes, definitely underreported. Quick anecdote. After I called the police on her one time after an altercation/argument in my driveway (in which she was the aggressor) where she tried to drive aw…

In my personal experience, yes. I was simply tossed aside.

I am a good guy and single father that got pushed away because the mother just wanted to be a single mom.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
