I'm in India. I spend most of my time in Bombay and Gurgaon. Non-urban parts of India are largely unchanged.

Fellow Indian here. It's scary how many urban women are so self-righteous these days. I am liking the discussion here, however the point that I originally tried to make with this post was that the guy in this link is pathetically giving away his right to get drunk and have a good time (like all adults should, if they wish to). So by actually tolerating his wife's behavior he's being a bigger pussywhip than someone who'd complain that she threw an ashtray at him. When he wants to win her trust over, by apologizing, all he does is further reinstates her authority over his decisions…
