Police are messed with a lot to get gender/race stats to where they want them. For awhile in the city I live in it was well known they weren’t hiring any white males for awhile because they needed more diversity.

Eh, that’s an another issue but as a single dad with a kid in diapers it kind of sucks when the only changing table is in the woman’s restroom. I don’t know if the woman’s restroom had one in this place but the all gender one didn’t.

Then they should’ve labeled it “woman are being jailed for not having enough evidence after coming forward about rape” or something similar. Jeez if only there was an occupation for people who could come up with news articles. It’s almost like it’s their job not to post misleading titles. Knowing buzzfeed they purposely picked an outrageous title for the lulz hoping it would gain some traction, mixture of idiots who support it and people who are rightfully raging it.

I use to work at a women’s shelter and they made us watch a training video/documentary about women in prison who murdered their husbands or SO. Some law came out in that state about if DV was involved it would alter their murder sentence, of course then everyone says DV is involved. Umm just playing devils advocate here, but how do the text messages clear him? I’m not saying he raped her but I don’t see any evidence of that in the article either. But She said she wanted to ruin his life. If a rape really happened, wouldn’t that been a reasonable response? I feel like in this case it’s possible a rape could of happened but they dropped it not because it proved him innocent they just decided it wasn’t worth it to fight it in court.

I worked picking up phones (24 hour line, just one person operating it the whole 24 hours) if it got busy they would have other people who worked there come and help, and I also spent a lot of time hanging out with kids. It was the last part of the day, I stuck around probably half a year longer. I should clarify and say the video was about some law that got passed where they factor past domestic violence in the murder sentencing, but the video didn’t seem to care about evidence at all, simply the statement from a convicted murderer in prison saying it had existed in the past.

Ugh, I’m a male and I use to work in a women’s shelter. There is a lot of legit reasons and good reasons for women’s shelters but some of the people who run them are hardcore feminists. I remember watching a training video on women who murdered their husbands and why they shouldn’t get jail time. It was a bizarre thing to watch. And me being the only male thought it was odd. Also on a side note, the one I worked for had a legal part to it. But this was in the US.

Part of a problem I'm going through right now. I have an ex who made up something in court I proved it was false and they dropped it without court intervention. Now she's made several more accusations but she's being careful and all the accusations are vague and "he said/she said" type things.

Reminds me of a urinal at my work. We had a urinal in a small building that was convenient. There were a couple other unisex bathrooms about a 1 min walk away but someone complained the convenient bathroom didn't have a girl option. Well the way the little building was built it would have been very expensive to add any type of plumbing to it so they just removed the working urinal. That's government for ya.

It was a court appointed child custody mediator. I ended up getting 20% custody but it was mainly because I couldn't afford to rent a place and had to move to my parents place 45-50 mins away.

They would bend rules to get females that weren't allowed in the shelter all the time. I'm advocating for anyone who doesn't have the resources to escape domestic violence to get the hell out of there before someone gets hurt or killed, I don't care what's in between your legs or what rules need to be bent. But that's just me. I'm my opinion woman often need the resources more but it hurts me when I have to turn someone away because they didn't meet a checkbox. Especially if we had an empty bed …
