Not sure what you’re hoping to accomplish by on a debate sub with that kind of language and attitude

I already told you the reason you think that is because you didn’t read my proof so how about you act in good faith and read my comment and my links before making things up

No I need proof that women don’t experience more dv than men, which was your claim

Being a lawn hater was a large part of my masters thesis I am happy to befriend fellow anti-turf

Yes I agree it’s so important to be on the same page about the boundaries of the relationship. I think this is “core aspect” that will determine the compatibility and health and longevity and shared satisfaction in the relationship, not how women and men have different preferences in their sex lives. A shared perspective on exclusivity also goes into consent. A mutual agreed upon definition of the exclusivity of two (or more for poly ig) people and adherence to that definition is a requirement. …

I’m well aware of Mrs. Pollard, I’m from Connecticut. It’s not the gotcha you think it is. Yes this is when women were finally “allowed” to be scout leaders but women have always been involved in Boy Scouts supporting troops in varying capacities. This recognition by the organization was to show solidarity for the women who were running scout troops BECAUSE men didn’t to do in those areas. So if a man doesn’t want to volunteer to be a scout leader in a community those little boys are supposed to…

It’s not a cop out pointing out the importance of nuance. He discussed how he’s struggled with relationships because he feels like he doesn’t know what the other person wants and doesn’t know if her views align with his. Why is this happening to him? Because he’s working off these weird generalizations instead of just talking to her and getting to know her as a person. As a human being. An individual. Of course he’s gonna have a bad time if he doesn’t do that. How can you expect a relationship t…

What do you want from me are you saying we should have been in a “real relationship?” Our relationship was healthy and we enjoyed our time together. What would be the point of that when neither of us wanted that? He was a senior and I had one more year. It worked out for us. I saw you left out the part where I discussed the FRIENDS part. I still talk to him here and there, sometimes we’re in the same city and we meet up for coffee and catch up, you know, as friends do.

You mean the rest of the story where tens of thousands of boys were sexually abused by their scout leaders and the Boy Scouts brushed it under the rug? The reason they started letting girls in was because their membership plummeted once these brave men spoke up and they needed a new source of participants because why would anybody knowingly send their sons to pedophile heaven? Why is it always that organizations affiliated with Christianity are rife with grooming and rape and pedophilia. I guess…

If it makes them feel good about how they look then they should do it. When men neg on women for wearing “too much” makeup it’s not received positively because it’s like well no one was asking your opinion anyway. The rhetoric of men preferring women who seem like they’re wearing less makeup is prevalent. So it goes to follow that a woman trying to get attention from men would do their makeup that way. So what does that mean about all the women who are wearing kooky and bold looks, they’re doing…

I already have one so that’s not an issue. What’s the problem with wanting to be with someone who is thoughtful and kind who I get along and have a relationship built on a foundation of friendship, and mutual trust and respect. The dealbreakers are also for people I interact with in general. No reason for me to be friends with someone who hates me on the arbitrary basis of my race. Why even bother wasting my time

I got into a rabbit hole looking around these subs but I just wanted to say I really like your writing style, it’s the best writing I’ve seen the past few days. I’ve been out of college for few years and lately I’ve been struggling with writing concisely. I‘ll get tangent and then need to provide some backstory to an element of the tangent and then on and on… I got diagnosed with adhd at 25 so I’ve been extra self conscious about it. Anyway like I said I think you have a very strong, lively, per…

No I’m not I literally advocated for more DV awareness and support for men and mental health support for men in both of my comments. Whatever you think feminism is, it’s not just one definition that not everyone who uses the word feminism shares. Feminism and feminists are not a monolith. Are there people who identify as feminists who act in bad faith against men? Sure, just the same as there are gay people who are transphobic, gay people who are biphobic, trans people who are homophobic, etc. t…

Yes it must be grassroots, community led. The men’s community. So much of the rhetoric on those men’s rights subs complain about how feminism has done nothing for them and feminism is a scam. Sidestepping all the tunnel vision and other issues with that statement, then why aren’t men doing something to support fellow men? r/menslib has a fraction of the amount of subscribers as the various other men’s groups. They’re trying to help men, but those other mens’ rights men are resisting that help. A…

Do you know cases of domestic violence towards men? You claim that it’s more common than women but where does it say that. Because domestic violence actually happens to women more often. Domestic violence and sexual violence in general are underreported so let’s just let the reported numbers be what they are. https://ncadv.org/STATISTICS DV against men needs more support and awareness of course, but the reason there’s so much discourse about DV towards women is because it happens to women more o…

Or how about you just don’t think that way. There’s no leftover man vs leftover woman. People are human beings and reducing women to being baby carriers is as dehumanizing as it gets so maybe stop being hypocritical. “Leftover men” don’t not have value just because “leftover women” have even less value. That’s a false dichotomy. Leftover men and women is just made up. Stop feeding into the ageism and stop perpetuating sexism. And stop making broad sweeping generalizations based on your narrow pe…

I’m a Chinese American woman. I have tried and want to try as many crafts as I can, I aspire to buy 5-50 acres, build a Net Zero Passive House, have some chickens and rabbits, and a subsistence garden. I love cooking, foraging, fishing, and woodworking. I’m a licensed architect and architectural environmental sustainability consultant and a licensed tattooer. Personality: chatty, but also knows what comfortable silence is. Thoughtful and active listener who remembers important details. Thoughtfu…

I’m confused as to what you’re confused about. Women are not a monolith, just like men are not a monolith. If that 37 year old lady is happy with her lifestyle, why is the YouTube lady negging her just because she disagrees? Sleeping around in your late 30s might not be for everyone, but neither is getting married at 23 and having kids by 25. Do you know how to find out if a woman has the same values as you and relationship goals? By talking to her about it. Why are you dating people, without co…
