Seconded - he doesn't want to propose after four years? I'd begin doubting he had any intention to do so at all.

Oh I really like your thoughts on this, because rather than being all airy fairy "divine feminine" they fit into some conceptualisation of us as evolved beings, which is what RP is based on. The idea that feminine traits emerged as an adaptation to appeal to men so that they protect us, and to ensure our survival and that of our children, is a far more satisfying answer. It would then follow that femininity encompasses physical traits (curves, shiny healthy often long hair, soft clear skin) but …

In the UK it's sadly far too common for women to work full-time just to see almost all their income go on daycare. Half of your part-time income going on childcare comparatively doesn't sound that bad to me, though you will no doubt have healthcare expenses we don't. However, more importantly, it's not really fair to calculate childcare costs as a percentage of just the woman's wage. What is it compared to the household income? This, and your slight exaggeration about your remaining number of sa…

Stop meeting men off Instagram. They follow you for your pictures. That will help.

Honestly, birth control and abortions (though I hope to never experience the latter) mean I now no longer fear men as a group and make me feel a lot happier and more secure in my relationship with my husband. I do not believe that the ability to control your fertility (when used sensibly of course) should be regarded as a bad thing.

Fair enough! I'm glad you are happy with them.

Have you thought about analysing why you want piercings and tattoos? It's easy for us to be swayed/influenced by what we see on social media and in our social groups. You might be less likely to want it if you realise you are making sometimes permanent aesthetic decisions because a woman whose image you value did the same.

I'm a feminist and find RPW to be helpful in my marriage. The way I reconcile it is that I don't care whether the differences I've noticed between men and women are learned (i.e. a product of socialisation) or innate (i.e. inherent, biological), or a mix of the two. It doesn't really make a difference. If it works, it works. RPW is a toolbox after all. I find feminism to be somewhat of a bogeyman in RP communities. I appreciate why. But I disagree with OC that the two positions are wholly irreco…

Have some respect for yourself and don't let him string you along like this. While you're waiting for him to decide what he wants you will be neglecting opportunities to move on, become your own person, forge new connections and potentially meet someone else.

I've been looking into Medieval English recipes and herb gardens to inform and shape my budding interest in homesteading (which I can't fully satisfy due to living in a flat with no outdoor space at present). It's been prompted by the state of the world. But looking into what my ancestors might have eaten and how they lived has been calming. I've made a plan of things to do this year that are within my control. Going to have a wider range of indoor herbs this year, and I also plan to learn how t…

You are in the process of ruining your life. Please sit down and think about this and walk away. I would be one of the very few voices on here who would recommend the abortion, especially this early. So I'm going to recommend it. If you're looking for a "HVM" he's way less likely to overlook being saddled with a child than having had an abortion in the past. (I mean truthfully any man may well judge both but there you are.) Humans can adapt to anything. So you could manage a trailer and travelli…

You can and should cultivate an identity outside of work, regardless of whether you become a SAHM or not. Not having one is a side-effect of a culture which prioritises careers and the accumulation of wealth above all else, such as other work (staying at home, raising children, volunteering), hobbies, skills (art, cooking, writing, building, gardening, anything). Your potential loss of identity is therefore on you, not on the transition to being a SAHM. (I mean, obviously you will lose the major…

The feeling you are getting in your tummy right now, wherever it's coming from, is a good indication that you should pause on this for a good long while before making any kind of further decision. Not just a week or two, but a few months. If you are not excited to be a wife and mother foremost, and you fear a loss of identity, anything anybody here can say to you will simply push the fears down for a while, not allay them.

Did you read her post properly? She already has one young child with him. Divorce is not at all appropriate in this situation based on the information we have.

So... He's a teaching assistant? Can't see how somebody at a prestigious university could be a professor with just an MA. Is he trying to fool you?

I've been there. You need to find something that challenges and excites you outside of your relationship with this man. A thing that might help is setting a goal (rather than just nebulously "doing your hobbies"). What are your hobbies? You say elsewhere in the thread that you bake. Are there any baking skills that you might like to develop or master - for example, learning to make macarons? Think about it like that, and set a couple of goals and work towards them. As satisfying as it can be to …

I'm the same. Traditional relationship, mostly liberal values, and liberal friends that eschew traditionalism. I don't really care whether red pill truths are learned or innate, I just know that quite a few of the tricks work and I'm content leaving what I don't like. I've seen this said on the men's subs too, but considering the red pill a part of your identity is quite sad.

I see. So, you've tried your level best to appease him and help him to stop it all, showing an incredible amount of patience, but he's still lashing out at random, berating you and saying your unrelated issues are the reason he gets nasty? It appears he is totally unable to accept fault, and hasn't attempted to stop himself or work on his issues. Obviously we are only hearing your side, but no faults on your part justify this behaviour - he should be communicating, leading, owning his shit. This…

I'm so sorry this is happening. Have you felt able to have conversations with him about his attitude and behaviour when he's in a better mood? Has he ever apologised for the way he speaks to you or expressed remorse? Do you know what triggers him, or is it unpredictable? Has he ramped up the behaviour over time? Just trying to get a bit more information. But off the bat, this doesn't look remotely good or safe for you, nor is it a safe environment in which to raise your future children.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
