OP, all these funny jokes and responses to how to respond will only get you so far. You've hit the nail on the head in your post, "Girls want a man with direction." Yes they'll laugh about you being Professor X at first, but if you want to form any lasting and significant relationships, you're going to have to eventually answer that question honestly, and that means doing something with your life. As I think you can already tell, your issues are much deeper than just how to answer some small tal…

Entertainment or not, scripted or not, he still uses techniques advocated in this subreddit. And while yes some of it was probably "Hey, here's some stuff she's done recently that are good conversation starters," I doubt they recommended he start asking her about the concept of free will on a late night show, cause THAT will really get viewers.

I know some girls who lost their virginities as ONS in college. Not unheard of. That's just how they wanted to get it over with.

If I'm going to start a conversation over text instead of setting up a date, I always make it relevant and open ended. Stuff like "Hey what's up" and "How's your week going?" are pretty lame imo. Examples: I live in Colorado, and on election night because we were a swing state, I texted a girl "Which way do you think Colorado is going to swing tonight?!" One girl was an IU basketball fan, and during their game the other night, I texted "Close game at first, but now IU is running away with it! Yo…

Women, on the other hand, from what I've seen and observed, take a different approach. Instead of seeing problems making them unhappy and as something to be overcome, they see unhappiness as evidence of problems that cannot be overcome. They use their feelings to justify reality. "I have fallen out of love, so therefore it must not have been meant to be" kind of thinking. Wow this really hit home with a couple of past relationships and serious gf's.

he's not saying "every approach makes a huge difference". it's a numbers game, and always has been. approach more often and you'll see the results you want more often, not every time.

I've tried this before too, definitely works. I once got a reply within 2 minutes after sending the aforementioned text, when normally she would take hours to respond. Keep this in your playbook.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
