He did not strike me as manipulative. Rather, he seemed kind of... desperate and emotionally unintelligent. Not the kind of guy who would wise up and change his tactics. No, I think he will continue to do this until A) some poor girl falls for it and continues to fuck with him or B) someone who doesn't have good intentions hurts him further and gives him more trauma to dump on a woman.

I wholeheartedly agree! If we don't lift each other up, who will? Also, I've been single for a long time. As lonely as I am, I wouldn't trade my peace for a LVM. There's a saying in Spanish that goes, "Mejor sola que mal acompañada." It means, "Better alone than in bad company." I take that saying to heart, and I appreciate women like you and the women here in FDS (I'm a long time lurker) so very much for instilling that mantra into Newbies and long time followers alike.

I appreciate your concern. I should amend that statement: on the surface, he seemed to have and be what I want in a partner. And we had only been talking for a week. I know you're saying how could I possibly know he's everything I'm looking for?? But in comparison to a lot of men I've encountered who only want to fuck, he was quite decent. "Decent," however, does not excuse red flags.

This triggers me soooo much.
