1	WTF saw this on Political Humor Once again, that's not missing the point, that's just pointing out the fact that, according to the comic, only women ever have rights taken away. I don't see how you can read it like that. This comic is clearly aimed towards the debate about outlawing abortion in North Dakota. I see where you're coming from, but I assume it's not the comic artist who decided to post this to /r/mensrights without any context. It seems obvious to me that this refers specifically to the Christian right and their argument that a collection of cells suddenly becomes a human when the heart starts beating. "But now I have a heart beat. And human rights!" 1	Man demonized by media for not taking a bullet for his girlfriend in Aurora shooting. If you're interested in the subject, you should really read "On Combat" by Dave Grossman. I've thankfully never been in a dangerous, adrenaline-fueled situation myself, but I find the subject fascinating and have read a lot about it. Your post is great, I just think it's worth pointing out that even if you're in a dangerous situation where no-one is trying to kill you the way you described, like if you're caught in a fire, keeping your composure can be incredibly hard. 2	Trans issues are part of men's rights I think it's about how transgender issues force us to apply mental models we're not used to, like the difference between sex and gender. I don't know how familiar most Americans are with differentiating between the two, but I'm having a hard time even coming up with a good word for gender in my own language (Norwegian). 13	The subplot from a recent episode of House, M.D. made me think I seem to remember that from an Ally McBeal episode.
