Yep. Like the difference between taking a ride on a roller coaster at a theme park versus jumping onto and actual runaway train down a cliff. Lots of takers for the former (people will even pay), not so many for the latter. Another thing that's sometimes lost on these discussions is the obvious...men are drawn to female BPD types too. In spite of knowing she's a hot mess...they often go for it.

That is an outlier exception example. Female killers get fan male (pun intended) too. Do famous serial killers get more love letters than famous people who are not serial killers?

Dopamine= The (as mentioned, highly addictive) "enjoyment chemical".

How many people gamble? Odds are against them, why do they try? How many people overeat? Fatness is bad for your health and makes you look awful. Everyone knows it, but they do it anyway...the majority even, these days. Dopamine is highly addictive. I'd say "stupid's got nothin' to do with it" because that has a snappy ring to it, but stupid is part of the equation too. They're hoping they'll be the one to tame the "bad boy". Read the romance novels and that will tell you everything you need to …

Yes indeed. They're in the manosphere because they DON'T want attention from anyone in the manosphere. And have never, ever, wanted that.

RPW are (as with most things, this is a generality and holds true about 90 percent of the time, which means there are outlier exceptions) women who want to gain attention in the "manosphere" by feigning that they are "not like that".

It's true they don't "mind" neediness as much as women. But they do know it's a sign of desperation and a low value signal. Men just don't mind f*cking low value...doesn't mean they aren't looking for higher.

They're already acting like men. The result isn't good.

<i>"Does this kind of worthless labeling help with the issues between the genders?"</i> No. It's the internet. I'm now very skeptical that anything one reads on the internet will ever "help with issues between genders" anyway. Sometimes no exposure is good exposure. Where does all that arguing get anyone? Gets boring, and there's no levity. Like attending a lecture all day every day. By choice. To feed our weird dopamine fixes, or something.

It's a nice thing to do for the mother of your children. But to gift or not to gift isn't the point. My spouse and I rarely exchange gifts for any occasion. The point is, it takes an odd sort of person to take pride and boast about it for validation to the masses. "How's that for alpha, bros!?!" That's a singular example. There are scores of others. The entire RP atmosphere is replete with people looking for validation and positive affirmation for being pretty shitty people in general.

What made me decide to switch from RP? Red pillers of course. I'll add that for folks who claim not to need no stinkin' validation they are one of the more validation seeking groups I've encountered. For folks ranting about solipsism they are an unbelievably solipsistic bunch. The most recent example is Mother's day. Lots of "I didn't get my wife jack shyte!" commentary, hoping for validation and applause. It's weird stuff.

<i>" Are we overestimated problems in the dating world because of the filtering effect of the internet? Or is my worldview not representative of the larger whole? Discuss!"</i> Yes. Wish I had a dollar for every time someone brought up the women-hooked-on-convicts assertion. "See!?! This guy is on death row and women write him love letters!" What percentage of the female population writes love letters to incarcerated psychos, I wonder? If I were to take a trip to the pokey tomorrow during visito…

That they are even more likely to be unself-aware themselves than the people they accuse of not being self aware. Irony runneth deep in shallow waters.

There are obvious advantages to both. Also depends on the type of intelligence. Intelligence that wins the chess match with the masters isn't as profitable (nor as immediately useful) as social intelligence.

It isn't pathetic or weak for him not to speak to you after you told him to shut up. It is pathetic and weak for him to speak to you again though.
