In your place, I would deal with the cooler stuff and fridge stuff and only ask him to do stuff you are not particular about. Like driving, lifting the cooler. Does he pay for the food? He needs to learn to drive calmly id let him focus on that

Yes that was one of the moments I cringed at for sure. And besides the ending, in the amazing scenes with him and his boss🫣 he was not at all not mentally attractive or manly.

I love movies that make you think deeply! I wasn’t clear if they were pushing a “Emily is 100% right” message at the end or not.

I agree with everything you said. I didn’t mean that she could have prevented it or that his actions were her fault, or that the whole movie is a lesson, because it’s pretty complicated and maybe unrealistic too. I was more struck that each of the small actions and reactions on their own had educational value and I don’t recall many films that show that kind of thing in such volume like they did. However in real life I see a lot of women doing those things and not understanding the reactions or …

Unless she’s ugly or has some big non physical flaw, or isn’t attracted to men, she can definitely ALSO be selective and find an attractive kind provider. Marrying for only stability, and expecting it to last, means spending your life with someone you’re not into, him having access to your body, this is not a recipe for a woman’s happiness, and will be exhausting very quickly. Also if you know the man is duped by you pretending to like him physically, can you sufficiently respect him and follow …

What’s the upside?can you win money? If not and you are so so about it maybe not the best use of your time. But maybe you’ll meet amazing women there. With what you’ve said maybe you can choose more modest attire than the others in all the categories and maybe even speak out about parts of contemporary society that you disagree with such as overt sexuality (if that is your view)

It’s sad. Like it’s probably been like that for most of human history in most places but if you clearly have the resources to care for your kid and you choose to be stingy and extort labour from your kid instead of letting them have a childhood, they will resent it in the future. Know better do better

Here are some possible motives: Money: he would only lose out on having to pay for food/clothes for your daughter. He would save on child support and he’s not the one who’s a stay at home parent, Gosh being a 7 year old girl she could even help with their young kid! Could it be possible he didn’t ask his new partner to care for your child until after she was quite committed (has his kid) because it was more likely she’d say yes at this point and wouldn’t be scared away from the relationship/marr…

He’s an inconsiderate man who also gets bored sometimes and looks for validation from women he doesn’t want to date but who have qualities (ie a certain level of attractiveness and social skills, and falling into the right age group) which enable him to feel validation from their responses. Take away the validation next time!

Yes. I agree with the OP and have the same situation. I don’t think I’d get turned down but it’s never long enough for me to be the one asking.

You will have to prepare emotionally to be disappointed. And if you don’t usually have conflict with your mom, prepare to keep calm and shut it down nicely. Maybe plan what you will say in response if she says things you fear. Including what to say if she won’t stop asking rude questions or saying something xenophobic and you have to threaten to end the conversation. Such as: “I was happy to share my good news with you your reaction is disappointing me. I want to go home now and I hope you won’t…

That all sounds fine but she’s just wearing basic underwear and he lost the mood. Seems like he’s a tiny bit too obsessed (though from OPs responses also a good communicator and not a bad boyfriend.)

Pearl’s not doing it for free so I’m not so sure she’s innocent. I agree she comes off as dumb but I think it’s all as scammy act. It’s a shame she says such ridiculous things ajd looks like such a fool because I think the underlying message has truth and relevance

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
