Do they have wheels for feet and use the road for other than crossing? Other than being a roller blader that is on the road more than the sidewalk I fail to see what you mean here. Actually can't remember the last time I saw one, pedestrians are already sorted and protected with crosswalks and the onus being on the driver for intersections and corners; carparks, residential parks/etc.

Yeah we have rather wide gutter spaces, as long as you don't impede traffic police have never bothered me; been riding since I was a teen. We also have a lot of emergency lanes which probably give a wider area for corners when nearing residential areas which are usually the worse as you can't sometimes see someone till it's too late so it gives the space you need.

It does when you hit them, someone has to pay for damages to person/bike or car, doubt it would cost a few cents to get any of it looked at or if the driver swerves to avoid running a person over in a panic (no different than a car doing the wrong thing and causing someone to panic, move and hit something) over and hits something or person. Where I live it's the next step up with kids on petrol or electric bikes or even just push bikes and won't even look before using an intersection/roandabout …

In general registration is Aus where I live includes health insurance and a good amount to road maintenance, it is a bit close minded when I think about it as I forget sometimes it's a separate thing in the US. Just different ways of doing the same thing I suppose. We have bike lanes but are few and far between, when I had to ride along a highway or saw traffic I always stuck to the gutter as close as I can and never had no problems; sure a person can still hit you but at that point it is on the…

The point is where is the license to show that people know how to use road rules like motor vehicles and can adhere to traffic. What makes it okay to also be 20 - 30 Kmh slower than the rest of traffic with people collecting up behind them and the cyclist thinking it's okay to just pretend it's fine. Also if the road is where people want to pedal with cars then pay insurance like drivers have to, why do they get off with that but get to use the road that people pay for?

Seriously, how can someone get in trouble for being bullshitted about? No proof? we'll just throw you life away because people never lie.

Yup, easiest way to get down votes there is injecting common sense.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
