But why downvote me for asking for a source? You may not agree with me, but why punish me for trying to learn and see your point of view? Actually I posted links to court cases. You posted "ya, not so much". To which I replied asking for a source because I wasn't really sure what "ya not so much" meant. I'm editing my posts for clarity, my viewpoint is the same just worded differently.

Yes there are limits to free speech. Nobody has made the claim that there are not. That's great, we are in agreement on that. You're being down voted for posting irrelevant nonsense. Asking for a source is "irrelevant nonsense"?

You're responding to accusations I didn't make. I never said there was a law against hate speech - there isn't. However, I did say the are exceptions to the first amendment - which there are. I asked for a source and was downvoted because of it. What sense does that make?

From your source: In 1942, Justice Frank Murphy summarized the case law: "There are certain well-defined and limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise a Constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous and the insulting or 'fighting' words – those which by their very utterances inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace." One could argue repeatedly saying a racial slur can inflict…

The first amendment has a few exceptions - hate speech is one of them.

Acceptable to whom? It is accepted in predominantly African American urban communities. I said it was a "dialect/offshoot" in my original comment.

It doesn't have to be the standard. The point I was making is the OP wasn't doing a 'thing' (as you put it "incorrect grammar is cool"). I was stating that OP is speaking English, just a different dialect. All of your questions and curiosities can be solved if you perform a simple Google search. Again, "informate before you conversate".

Walter Edwards writes about it in his piece entitled African American Vernacular English: Phonology in the multimedia reference book called A Handbook of Varieties of English: A Multimedia Reference Tool. The tool is said to be [...] by far the most thorough reference work on phonology and the first-ever comprehensive overview of the morphology and syntax of varieties of English in the world. There are countless other examples of AAVE being an accepted and established rule driven dialect. Like I…

It's called African American Vernacular English (AAVE) and is a recognized and legitimate dialect/offshoot of "proper English". Informate before you conversate.

What does the fact that he likes men have anything to do with you? Are you jealous he's not sodomizing you?

I think males become men naturally when left to their own devices. Things like religion, the education system, etc have trained males to not be men, but to be tougher women. Check out the book. What Men Know That Women Don't: How to Love Women Without Losing Your Soul it goes into what happened to the modern man.
