Always? I think that's up to debate since these relationship dynamics are actually pretty new, where the husband takes care of the home and the wife works and all that. not completely new, but now they don't outnumber each other.

How about marriages where the woman is the breadwinner and the man is the househusband? Or other unconventional arrangements?

I was just trying to point out that it's kinda ridiculous to try to chalk this experience down to gender.

It was complete and utter shit because In my mind I had to be perfect and alpha and stoic all the time, and it would all result in me breaking down crying because I didn't even understand what the fuck I was feeling. I had suppressed shit for 24 years though. It was not her fault and she didn't deserve to bear the brunt of it all. I'm doing a bit better but still very angry and bitter. It made me see my relationship with my mother in another light and find out that yes, I was pretty abused growi…

" He could very well been working on that aspect. What if all the amazing things he did for you was his attempt to work on that aspect? What if every time he had those thoughts feelings etc he chose the opposite but just chose not to tell you to protect you or out of fear etc?" Having been redpill in a relationship and experiencing exactly these thoughts, and behaving exactly this way, I can confirm that maybe this is what was going on. I know it's not OPs role, but maybe trying to assuage him t…

I dont know. Reducing people to a smaller and smaller echochamber seems dangerous to me, but letting people spew hate all over is also bad. This is one of the hardest arguments the internet has ever faced, seriously. I just can't imagine things ever being truly regulated and controlled. Seems very dystopian and unlikely.

Did you notice the change gradually? Was there a moment where he started to turn? How is he now? I'm not justifying it, I just like to try and understand the reasons people fall on these rabbit holes.

Last year, after a bad breakup, I was a mess. In a meeting with a colleague from college, I said I needed a hug. She looked at me like I was an abandoned puppy, a broken toy or something. I could feel it. Being weak has never brought me any good, but when I was at my peak, it wasn't like this. I am constantly wondering if I should just be a human or an idea of strength. It gets worse because I think my mother is a narcissistic person, so I don't even have the only female support figure most peop…
