There are always pros and cons to being in any group. By saying white people have privilege over black people in 1930 you are assuming that given a choice every person would choose to be in the privileged group. The whole concept of "privilege" is designed to shut down acknowledgment or discussion of mens' issues. Men are privileged, therefore their issues don't matter. People who believe in privilege believe that one group objectively has it better than another group. Men are still predominantly the victims of violence if you include rape/domestic abuse. The vast majority of murder victims are men and always have been. Here's how it works in every society I can think of. It's taboo to hit women but it's not taboo to hit a weaker man. 8	What specifically made you a MRA? I always knew that certain feminist beliefs, like gender being a social construct, were politically motivated rather than the result of unbiased research. Therefore I never considered myself a feminist. But I still agreed with the concept of "patriarchy" and thought that women were more oppressed than men. Just because women get extremely offended by certain words said against girls/women doesn't mean men should also be equally offended for the sake of "equality".
