Most women I know over 30 are somewhere between 8 and 18 body count. And literally no one I know cares. Only people that frequent places like this for "relationship advice, if it can even be called that, care one iota. Secondarily, asking why someone would assume a person has a higher body count is futile, because slightly more or less sexual experience doesn't change a person's personality in any perceptible or measurable way whatsoever. Unless you are on the far far extremes of being celibate …

It literally means to pay for your check. What world do you live in? I don't agree with his view, but OP didn't mention sex at all. You all went insaneo style with the assumptions here lol.

And men. Both sides here are popcorn-worthy most days. What I notice the most is people projecting their view while looking for validation of poor behavior instead of welcoming an actual discussion on ways to improve.

I would like to posit a more difficult choice: All things the same but - They're both 29 to account for below. They're both seeking LTRs. Mario N count is 7, but none of his relationship have lasted over 6 months with the average being 3-4. Dario is 14, and 3 of his relationships lasted 2+ years almost resulting in marriage, but didn't work out. (The rest were short relationships in between seeking a ltr.)

Ooooh. I see the projecting now. She wants to be validated. Yeah I reading this thread thinking that there's nothing wrong with healthy athletic people wanting to date other healthy athletic people. Just the same way educated people often prefer to date other educated people. That's why dating pools exist. There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to date your equivalent.

reddit relationship subs represent a very very small and often misguided portion of the extreme 10% outliers on the bell curve of normal human interpersonal interaction. None of this will be good for you. And no, it's not really that hard. Stay educated (consider a STEM degree), read self help books (not trp) about how to develop your interpersonal and social skills, take care of your body, dress nice, and join a meetup group for like kickball or sailing or something and you'll do fine.

Yeah it's completely insane. OPs stance is that a debate subreddit, with people of all genders and all ages, from countries all over the world, somehow accurate depicts men but inaccurately depicts women? If anything, the sub misrepresents both genders equally due to higher concentration of less modern cultural biases from developing countries where equality isn't the norm than what one encounters irl daily. I live in a major metropolitan area and deal with hundreds of people weekly. I'd hazard …

As for me, being knowledgeable in a lot of areas (politics, health, medicine, psychology, engineering, etc.) was generally a plus. Just having a huge vocabulary and a good command of the English language along with critical thinking skills is enough to become decent at most topics. My ex was an engilsh major and it took her no time to pick up on philosophy and debate. She works in data science now with no formal training. That was pretty hot ;)

Ah. Yeah fuck that. That's a completely unfair double standard if they do. I fully expect (hope) my future life partner will have had her fair share of flings before deciding to take it slow with the person she respects enough to spend the rest of her life with. I'd much rather settle down with someone who knows they've explored their options (and I made the top of that list) than someone who's still wondering what else is out there. Wouldn't you agree?

they get upset when there aren't enough virgins or low n count women available for them to settle down with. but they also expect a young virgin, or low n count women to be available That viewpoint is tunnel vision caused by spending too much time on reddit/purplepilldebate etc Faaaar fewer people care about that in the real world. 90% of people I know expect women to have had multiple partners and think double digits are perfectly fine for both sexes. Meetups are huge if you're not into sports and maybe a little more nerdy. March for Science, Maker meetups, Battlebots, Hackathons, etc. The ratios can be low though, so the best are to get involved in the arts+science community mashups that have more 50/50. Sadly for most, this only works in large metros, but it works very well. I had more 'introductions' through mutual friends that turned into dates and more in these communities than even in college. And definitely more quality pre-selection o…

Maybe you live in a small town? There's a jukebox in a ton of both restaurants and bars here in Nashville. Hell, every pool hall has a jukebox, even every waffle house has a jukebox. (I've noticed the same thing in both LA and Miami.)

To be fair, people in FAANGMULA stem circles or finance/consulting live in a completely different universe than the rest of the world. When I tell people the salaries I'm turning down they think I'm batshit crazy until I show them levels.fyi. How do you like the bay area nowadays btw? I've considered out there but the peninsula looks rough with no signs of getting better. Breaks my heart bc it's beautiful.

I’m not being second choice to a screen While I'm cool with this, people forget it goes both ways. I've seen some of my friends relationships rapidly turn in to: "No, you can't watch porn or masturbate. And also I don't like sex more than once a month or less and anything more means you're a sexist horndog who isn't respecting my boundaries."

I don't run into many guys who do care about n count. Which is why it's always so strange here. Because literally no one outside of this sub cares since there's literally nothing backing it outside of redpill garbage logic. Plus... The entire title of this post is a loaded logical fallacy with the presumption in the statement, aka "begging the question". The fact that no one has even mentioned that whilst falling over themselves to argue with each other is quite telling about the state of affair…

As a guy who got mistaken for 18-19 all throughout my 20s I can confidently say that dating got significantly easier when I grew into a more rugged look in my 30s. Literally no one bats and eye at the age gap. I guess it probably helps that I'm fit. But I honestly don't have many friends who aren't. I think different social groups just have different standards.

Yeah that post is ridiculous and seems to originate from some sort of addiction support group. Many of my subs are science, education, engineering, psychology, personal development, etc. Reddit is what you make of it, and it's an incredible resource. I learn things constantly when I'm here. Edit: uhm ok. Which part is being downvoted? The part about where the post originates from? (Which is true) or the part contesting that it's somehow not possible to learn things from reddit? Whelp I'm screwed then. When I was working as a COO I went the Steve Jobs route and found the perfect fitted dress shirt and slacks that I liked, then bought 6 pairs to wear to work every day so that I don't have to think about it. I still wear different t-shirts under, and when I'm being casual, but when I'm dressed up I have one look: it's sharp as hell, it's a tailored fit, and it suits me. Honestly, I'm perfectly happy to be pre-filtered out of some people's selection bias due to my choice t…

Same. All sounds completely insane to me. My n count is in the high teens. My sig other is in the mid teens. I would be worried if it were in the single digits because she might want to explore more or feel like she's missed out. But this way we both know exactly what we like and who we want to be with, which is each other. Tldr I think low n count is more likely to go "explore" than a high n count.

I literally do this for both my guy and girl friends occasionally and depending on the situation. And they in turn hit me back, or leave 50 bucks of booze at my house or just do something kind in return. I don't understand what's so weird about it.

I had an interesting mental experience on my first trip to the west coast about 10 years ago: I've lived in the south for the majority of my life. I take care of my body, workout, decent looking. But the overwhelming majority of people here don't. Above average (fat) is considered normal, obese is even somewhat glorified. Heavy couples were the majority of what you saw prior to the last 5 years or so. Despite that, fit people are often made fun of and it even made it harder to date than it shoul…

When you see a hot well-maintained 30-40 year old, you just assume they're much younger. Ding ding ding! Unless they're checking everyone's age OP and friends likely don't even realize the 30-40 year-olds passing for late 20s around them. Both my parents looked like teens in their 20s, looked in their late 20s well into their 40s, and look like their 30s currently in their 50s. I make a game out of it and let people guess my age. No one believes there's any way I'm over 30. This whole post is wi…

Not always. That's quite the blanket statement there. I was 32 dating a 22 year old hanging out with our 26ish year old work buddies. No one thought I was even over 27 when people's birthdays came up.

Propositions for casual sex evokes the same emotions as when your cat offers you a beheaded mouse to eat. This is the best thing I've read all week. The raised eyebrow, head cocked, pursed lipped "Thanks?" Really captures it better than I've ever imagined before :)

I feel like I'm in the minority around here in wanting to find a companion I can grow old with. I tend to get pretty blinded by love and by the time any sort of wall exists for my hypothetical future wife I imagine I'll be too old and wrinkly to care anyway. By that point I imagine family will be our priority anyway.

Wish more people on both sides were like this. Too many have unreasonable expectations. What are people planning on doing when they are 60 and old and wrinkly and nothing applies anymore other than these little things and the bond you have?

A subset (y) of a set (x) can only be all inclusive if the exclusions you're using to define y are literally the only factors. Masculinity or ambition are not the only reasons why people may not want to be stay at home parents and I can think of multiple things that fall outside of that range right now. Though I do understand that it's possible, in your world view, for those to be the only reasons, and that's OK, but it doesn't make it correct. I guess I could have been nicer but: I know reading…

The Jeff Bezos thing came out of nowhere but it was his wife that wanted the divorce, not him. His wife was incredibly committed and a pretty big part of his success over the years. It's unfortunate the way things went down but 100% his fault.

Based on your post history about not enjoying sex, I am guessing that you are projecting. There are plenty of high libido committed women out there who enjoy sex just as much or more than men. Lol no it's not. Sex isn't that great for [some] women. It's not some big reward like it is for [some] men. ftfy

I agree when it's in extreme outliers. And of course, I probably shouldn't frame anyone else's extreme boundaries with my own. But in the particular context of the facts give (But one abortion, 12-15 guys, and a little fooling around to his 7) it does not seem like any of those flags are there.

So now I am like "OK, we need to have a talk about this girl's history". Why? Why is her sexual history all that important or even matter to you? My partner's sexual history doesn't. that she had been pretty sexually active when she was younger, and even had an abortion at 18. I was an inch from breaking up with her right then and there, and I didn't cool off until the next morning WHAT? Breaking up with her for what exactly? What on earth did you need to cool off for?
