If its your employer then they're paying for group health and offloading some of the cost onto you. Group health is assessed on a 'group' basis because so many people are joining and leaving the scheme. A lot of the time the employer even takes on most the experience risk from the insurance company to lower the overall premium they pay. Thank you to both of you. I think you get what I mean. Look maybe in a few hundred years men and women will be indistinguishable. But for now men are still hunters and women are still trying to avoid being hunter-ed. You can't take getting rejected personally. It's their default choice. There are so many barriers to men checking at birth. Firstly the doctors and society will look down on the man for doing so (wouldn't be the case if mandated. Secondly most women would pull out all stops of craziness to stop the man from doing this.

Mandatory DNA testing at birth. We have the technology. It's inexpensive. Why has this not been legislated? There would be a brief period of total societal upheaval as the true scale of female infidelity became clear. After that there would be a new (and more sustainable) equilibrium found with either more reasonable male social obligations or less frequent female infidelity.

Ok guys so I did some digging. The accuser recanted and went to the authorities to set the record straight by herself. So I would argue there is some room for leniency, she could have taken the secret to the grave, that said maybe the level of leniency is too much. Bigger question for me is how was a man convicted of something that may have happened 6 years prior based on the accusers testimony alone. Was anyone else complicit in this lie? They should pay up too.

I wouldn't see this as a woman-power thing. I believe that in 1950s America a lot of wives ran the household/chores/budget while the husband worked as well. Its just reflecting their more traditional values.
