Also, it's not that you can't be friends with the opposite sex, it's that you can't do it without it revolving around sex on some level. That's what I mean. Can you be friends with a gay guy? The possibility of sex is there too.

Thanks bro, this is exactly what I was looking for. Great comment. Doesn't it get tiring to know that life is all one big game though, even in an LTR? Like you are playing a complex game and you need to keep up your score in order to retain the LTR, it just doesn't feel right. Men would probably be better off not playing this game. When you think about it, it seems to me that TRP is teaching men how to play by the rules in the game women have made, either intentionally or not. If you are a beta,…

There seems to be doublethink going on here. Can you have women friends or not? Another question, can you be friends with a gay guy? The possibility of sex is there too. Also, just because it's a woman does not mean I want to have sex with her, most women are not my type, statistically. So in that way they are basically like guys to me.

Egalitarianism isn't a thing. It is. It's just not supported, and the reason is obvious. What you're describing is feminism. Feminism is the correct term for what you're describing, removing gender discrimination within our society by eliminating the strict binary gender roles. You are just wrong, and it's sad to see someone in denial like this. I need not look any further than Wikipedia or most good dictionaries to know that it is focused on women first and foremost: Feminism is a collection of…

Within serious academia feminism has not been co-opted by psycho feminists trying to take away rights from men to the benefit of their type of people. I'm glad you found that, as I sure haven't seen it. The fact of the matter is that everything is relative. We can only see things from our own viewpoints and our own experiences. We can't really know or see the full picture here. The difference is that while the men's rights subreddit is pretty much the centre of the men's rights movement worldwid…

Who said I was a Men's right person? Just goes to show how defensive you people are. I'm not sure what your goal was in replying to me, as I've said everything already. I said, I'm from /r/TumblrInAction, two completely different sets of groups. You should check us out. Again, as I've said, I'm an egalitarian. Also, again, as I've said, feminism has been ruined by RadFems and those who are more worried about putting their kind (not even all women, but only women of their kind) above others, rath…

I don't know why you good feminists don't just call yourselves egalitarians instead of feminists seeing as how so many have ruined the word to carry so much negative baggage. In /r/TumblerInAction we talk about this a lot.

Buzz words like 'sheep', 'wake up', 'libtard', 'conservatard' replaced actual logical thinking. Welp, it depends on the buzz word like I said. Sheep would be "blind follower", "wake up" I wouldn't consider a buzz word at all (perhaps I'm not familiar with the usage), libtard and conservatard, (also conspiritard) are basically combining two words, "retarded conservative", "retarded liberal", "retarded conspiracy theorist", etc. BUT, I agree with you that it replaces actual logical thinking. They aren't brigaders. We need to stop attributing the problems in this sub to outsiders. That doesn't fix any problems. I've been in this sub for a few days and 4 out of 5 times I get downvoted for sparking discussion because it is perceived as disagreeing, and it's somehow personal to people. I can't say this isn't a problem in other subs. I've gotten it recently in /r/GrandTheftAutoV. But it seems even worse here, so I just unsubbed. I went through all of this here. (Might have to add ?context=10 or whatever to the end of that link.) If a sexbot is even 80% as good as the real thing then guess what 80% of the guys it's going to be marketed at? I don't see how "80% as good as the real thing" is related to "80% of the guys it's going to be marketed at". Since the commonly thrown around number here is 20% of the guys get 80% of the pussy out there. Is it sourced? You don't believe everything you read do you?

Women will invariably find more fault with their bots than men do with theirs Remember that minds can be read. So even if they change their mind and decide they don;t like what the bot is doing, the bot will change right when they do. I made a mistake by saying they'll need traded in. We like to think that women can never be worked or figured out, (and women, consciously, think the same about men) but in reality, we are just a bunch of chemicals interacting with other chemicals, and that can be …

Oh wow, I'm glad I met you. After spending a few days subscribed, I feel the exact same way. I mean, I think I said this, but you can't even discuss things here. ANYTHING that is perceived as negative, but in actuality is just trying to spark discussion is downvoted with NO reason for why. I think it has a lot of potential Like, you and me agree. There is. Curious why you're pedophile percentage is so high. There is not 10% pedophiles in the world. So are you saying more pedophiles will buy these sexbots? Do you think pedophiles make more money? Also, are you aware of the craze of "cougars" and "MILFs"? Stacy's mom has got it going on and all that jazz. No doubt that most would be younger, but there definitely won't be a 0% market for 30 - 50. There will even be grandma and BBW sexbots for people who like that shit.

Well, like you said, women need more than looks. The difference is that men need more than looks for LTRs, while women need more than looks for both LTRs and STRs. The main reason women fantasize about celebrities is because of their role portrayals, their status, and their wealth. I can see what you're saying. Many women don't like porn for this reason. But there are still many women who do. So judging by that, we can't generalize all women. But yes, it's true that more women than men wouldn't …

The point is, if they like that better, then yes, it's empowering. There are tribes where the women are bald and the men there find that attractive. Is that somehow less empowering just because we don't find that attractive? It's subjective, and all that matters is what empowers them. So yes, if women want to say that having sex is empowering, as a straight man, I'm not going to make fun of them for being a slut. That works against us.

This reminds me of the alimony thread I was debating people in. People don't deserve alimony because it was never agreed to. They have no expectation of being paid for their work. It'd be like a friend asking for compensation after 10 years of being your friend for giving you advice and being a soundboard. There's no expectation there to be paid. They don't deserve it, no. Do volunteers deserve to be paid after working a full day? You may have a point on human rights, but I was talking about com…

women can't be completely turned on by purely physical traits. Source? I've always heard women fantasizing about celebs. I mean, I believe it's true that they would want more than looks for LTRs, but I think that's usually the same for smart men also. Emotional: Also much easier to do for female sexbots, because women need much more complex emotional traits in a man than men do in a woman. Possibly, but it's genuinely hard to say. Thanks a bunch for the explanation. A similar analogy might be "I stopped flipping burgers to stand under a toilet and be shat on all day. I am EMPOWERED." I think that analogy is a bit extreme. Maybe, "I stopped flipping burgers to be a janitor. I am EMPOWRED." But if the person likes being a janitor more than flipping burgers, then I do say more power to them, even though I wouldn't want to do that. I think it's a subject thing. There are definitely studies on this can you can find them by plugging in "Neurochemical and hormonal consequences of porn" or any variation of that into google scholar. I spent 5 minutes and couldn't find anything without a bias like you said. EDIT: (but I forget that on reddit the only compelling argument is ad hominem and hyperbole... Ha, it's actually funny that we can see the push-back right here in this thread. If there's no demand, it won't be sold. Simple as that. Easy economics. So either rich men will buy it, or the manufacturers will sell them for a decent price.

Ray Kurzweil is a futurist and looks into this stuff extensively. He believes the singularity can start happening by the 2030s. Even if he's wrong by 40 years, it'd still be in my lifetime, especially when you consider the life extending advancements medicine will make in our lifetimes. Lifespans have already been increasing at a rapid rate.

It's a pretty good example for the reasons I mentioned in another comment. It becomes a negative circle jerk and irrational if we aren't checking against things such as confirmation bias and fake headlines. SRS does that, and frankly, we should be doing the opposite of whatever SRS does.
/r/TheRedPill13/01/14 09:34 AM

Yep. I agree. Confirmation bias. You can look through my history for the words "confirmation bias" and you'll find a thread that I thought was falling into that trap also. Im on mobile or I'd look it up myself. I'm new here, so I don't know how much of it goes on around here, but I've seen a lot of it already. I don't think that sexbots will be limited to BPs. It will be like porn, eventually 99% of males will have tried it at some point. A bit off topic though, I just got off from that Brendan Fraiser thread, would you have still married if you knew about TRP, alimony, etc.?

Ugh. So depicting a woman cleaning is oppression? Well sex is definitely oppression then. I think that's a pretty big leap. The feminists in the article were stupidly upset because of generalizations and stereotypes like that's somehow always a bad thing. Female sex bots are not generalizing anything. So it was wrong to have such a sensationalistic, editorialized title.

Like that is the same as women and men. Mexicans or African-Americans in America vs. non-Mexicans or AAs are a much less percentage than women in America vs. non-women. So the two aren't compatible. Plus, women do do most of the house work. It's only being realistic. I hate these types of people.

I think you're looking at it the wrong way. The AI would only be simpler for men who just want sex. And if men only wanted maidservants with a side of sexytimes, don't you think a lot more rich people wouldnt date? They have enough money to buy that if they wanted to. Until we have human-like AI, men will still look for women with actual personalities. Also, you have to look at the major negativity society will put on just having a robot instead of a "real woman". Your point in the title is good, but I didn't think the example used was a good one to prove your last paragraph. So, it's true that women will not want to do much if they don't care about their SO, but that doesn't mean they don't care about their SO because he isn't an alpha. TRP is not a sure-fire way to maintain a relationship. Many TRPers here can attest to that. All it can do is help. If we start to believe TRP fixes everything like magic, we start to become like fundamentalist theists: If…

Too be honest, your critiques of porn sound almost exactly like my parent's fundamentalist Christian cult. They weren't right about much when it came to science, so I wouldn't trust much of anything that came close to what they would preach. You're gonna need to find real studies to back up your claims rather than "gut instincts". That goes for saying porn has had a positive impression also. For all we know, porn could have done nothing either way.

This is why men lead relationships - I just cannot get through to you and you're incapable of understanding this. That's pretty misogynistic, and that's not what TRP is about. Haha, BINGO. The guy must have seemed like an idiot to that chick, if she's even real that is.

How was this dangerous? You already knew you weren't going to lay her, and you decided to do her a favor. I have no doubt at all that she will be thinking about what you told her. If anything you did her a favor and spent 5 minutes of your time. This wasn't dangerous at all, if anything it was helpful. How can you not see this? This all reminds me of naysayers who say not to bother debating theists because they never listen they always use fallacies etc. While many times, or even most of the tim…

I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying that I don't see how it will work on every woman who don't date or reward assholes. This is because I've seen it myself, as my friend is a TRPer, and he often gets rejected for being an asshole, even when he employs strategies such as not giving up, or coming back around later. He even got the cops called on him once (although he was too scared to stick around, haha). Even though he says it works, I think it's mainly to do with his confidence and not being af…

men do usually not fear being alone. Tell that to my dad. I note you said "usually", but because of my dad, you'd have to source that. My dad is very very lonely, and you can tell. It's very evident. He's 63.

For women But not men? Isn't that a problem? I realize you are just saying to be realistic though. I'd hate to be a woman. I guess a lot of women want to deny that they have it so bad.

As a new guy, can I interject here without being downvoted? I just want to have a friendly discussion. Isn't it possible that if you look for sluts, or those who just want to have sex, this TRP theory will work, because, well, they wanted to have sex anyway? I mean, it's common sense. So of course you'll get laid more, because you have specifically molded your approach to attract sluts. But I don't see how it will work on every woman, or those keepers who are more rational and intelligent. They'…
