8	Wage Gap Exactly. I am a woman who works in one of those places with uncomfortable working conditions and high risk of workplace injury. And guess what? I make as much as a male with a comparable skillset. Granted, I had to negotiate pretty hard for it. I think negotiation skills, or lack of them, play a not insignificant role in the gender earnings gap. A lot of women I know just don't do it.
