Unfortunately, it will take time. The brain needs to rewire the emotional circuits and time away from, and activities without your spouse, are the only ways to speed up the process. Emotions are weird, they’re primal and meant to help us survive. Those circuits will require more stimulus to change, which explains why you may logically know something, but the feelings aren’t in sync. By the way, you have a unique style to your writing, very poetic; i like it.

exactly what my therapist said. She gaslit me into believing I was a narcissist and gaslighting her. I was like wtf is happening right now.

Virtual hugs brother. I feel as though grieving the death of a person would be so much easier than grieving the death of a marriage.

Completely agree. Infidelity is easier for my mind to accept divorce. When my spouse who for months was saying how much she loves me and how heart is full all of a sudden after an argument says we “cannot communicate” and she wants a divorce, its a bit harder to swallow. Like what?

Well i signed up for one in august. Ive been learning a lot about whats going on in my wife’s head. How crazy different we as guys communicate vs how women do. I started using some of the techniques they describe and it seems to be working pretty amazingly. Only time will tell how successful ill be. Feel free to dm me for more info.

I feel you. It’s such a tough balancing act, being vulnerable enough to try again, but also protecting yourself in the process.

No guarantee man. I was best friends with my wife for 7 years, then married for 6, now she wants a divorce. Thought i did a good job vetting her, but things can change. There really is no guarantee to anything

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
