Men should go to therapy to unpack and learn to cope with why they take rejection so poorly. Responding to it with violence and responding to seeing men get violent over rejection by blaming women for HOW they reject men is not healthy, normal, or “logical”.

I mean, yes. I’d be able to focus full time on creative pursuits and I enjoy cooking. My partner or myself would probably jump at the chance to be able to do this for each other. It’s basically like winning the lottery. We both work to live (rather than living to work). If we could have a comfortable lifestyle, providing for ourselves and our community without BOTH of us having to make someone else’s money out of necessity? That’s kickass. I think this question is weird for only being posed towa…

I don’t even know where to start. There’s more nuance to the importance of and enjoyment derived from sex than most people on this sub want to acknowledge. The use of Gnosticism here completely lost me. Like.. What is going on?

If you’re only bettering yourself for women, then you’re right it is stupid. You should be doing that for yourself. Bettering yourself for yourself is how you attract someone who is on your level and more likely to suit your needs/standards and make you happy. Bettering yourself for a hypothetical partner who doesn’t even exist in your life yet it’s only going to lead to you resenting that person when you meet them. No one can ever live up to a false ideal that they didn’t ask or agree to be hel…

Just want to say, love your username! I’m rewatching the Expanse so I can watch the last season (I’ve been putting it off) and am hoping to start the books soon.

This implies single men don’t do all this for themselves already. I can’t imagine using a relationship as an excuse to stop doing laundry, dishes, cooking, etc. A partner is just that, they aren’t a live in cleaning/food service.

Shocking but maybe women don’t like the way y’all approach them so they took themselves out of those situations and put themselves in situations where meeting them was still possible but acting like a pick up artist was obviously impractical and not encouraged. Learn how to talk to women outside of you trying to pick them up. Make some friends, enjoy your life. People see that and start engaging with you, women are included in the people part of this statement. Not rocket science.

I just know not everyone thinks less of people who have sex often, and not everyone reduces them to an object for their choices. Doing so says more about the person objectifying people than it does about the people having sex. A woman choosing to have sex with multiple people is not choosing to be negatively objectified, she’s choosing to have sex with multiple people. When 2 or more people are having consensual sex, all people involved have equal say. Imbalances of power exist but not solely wi…

Nothing can make a person “the town bicycle”, it’s an objectifying insult like calling a man “community dick” and neither are appropriate or acknowledging of an individual’s humanity or personal autonomy. It reduces the person down to a sexual object that is used by others for pleasure. We’re not talking about sex toys or public property, we’re talking about fellow human beings. Not sure how you define community bicycle. It’s not a woman who has had relationship experience or a woman who seeks o…

Comments like this make it so transparent that you see women as an object for use rather than humans seeking out experiences that they enjoy, or at the very least choose for themselves. Accept that your dating pool is limited because you want someone who chooses different experiences and move on rather than demeaning women in general because some enjoy seeking out sexual experiences.

Have you ever considered that the correlation between higher amount of relationships/sexual encounters for women and an increased likelihood of relationship dissolution is because past relationships create a more informed standard about what women are or aren’t willing to stand/settle for? This is the impression I get from the women I know/have known. Would you prefer to have a relationship with someone who has a less informed standard for a relationship because she’s more likely to think the le…

The way this comment assumes prostitution has only ever been a woman’s job. Even if true in historical time (and not for the reasons this comment suggests) it’s certainly not true for western society or in countries that exist outside of it which permit sex work. Bad take.

I know I’m an outlier in this group but I can vouch for the existence of healthy and lasting romantic relationships where sexual attraction isn’t present. That being said, I don’t necessarily think it’s super common. I’m in an asexual relationship that’s well over 5 years strong, I know others in the same boat. With that in mind, the reason sexual attraction isn’t part of the relationship requirements is that neither party is looking to have sex with one another. I think you’re experiencing a de…

It almost like publishing houses focus on publishing books that align with mainstream concepts because they insist they’re the most likely to sell 😮. There are stories for just about any dynamic, not all of them are mainstream because the mainstream is usually tailored to the status quo/current societal standard. This post does nothing but prove a point about what publishing houses see as profitable.

Yeah, communication skills are learned like most skills. Some people have natural talent but everyone has to make it a priority to learn to communicate well or they suck at communication. This is like saying that because not everyone takes time to learn how to paint that creative expression is a artist meme and unrealistic to spend time on.

Sounds like the “avg man” you speak of needs to build a bigger social circle that’s more than just like minded men. Even at a point in my life where I was actively avoiding men there was still more than one I was regularly talking to on a regular basis. The average man should start including women in his friends groups, hobby socials, etc and may find he has more options. Becoming friends can lead to being only friends but it can also lead to more than that, sometimes the “more” is that friends …

I have reasons to be suspicious, angry, and paranoid towards men but even I’ve started to realize that has a negative impact on the good men or otherwise masculine people around me. It also does a huge disservice to myself because it stops me from getting to know ANY men around me, preventing me from having any good experiences to balance the bad which reinforces my false personal narrative that ALL MEN are bad. I feel like most Red Pill men need to have this realization but about women and thei…

I think this is an interesting take but it’s also built on the romanticization of something, typical heterosexual marriages with very strict gender roles that were intended to create and maintain nuclear families, that was rarely actually experienced in a positive way by any participant. I see a lot of Red Pill arguments that desire the values of this time but don’t seem to consider that aside from society saying men deserved to “have” these women and women being forced to accept this for a vari…

I don’t know if this is changing your mind or agreeing with you in a broader sense. I’m currently in a ltr but before this relationship, I experienced this a lot but when I was dating both women and men. I was not making nearly as much as you were but was finding that even when we were nearly financial equals, I was being expected to splurge on them way more than I was allowed to expect in return. Even the demands to miss work to spend quality time, which often started as a playful jokes and the…

I think “not crossing boundaries by being too open” is a general rule that is simply being emphasized here. We’ve all heard of oversharing, right? For example, saying you were wounded can show vulnerability and even encourage someone to feel safe being vulnerable with you. However, ranting about the wound and insisting they look at gory pictures of the wound at it’s worse would definitely qualify as “being too open” and is likely to cross personal boundaries and lead that person to feel uneasy a…
